Compensation: $14 per hour/based on experience and qualifications.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Motivation and creativity skills, effective English communication skills, and the ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent certification (GED) required.
Experience - Previous experience in the recreational therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred.
Minimum age of 18 is required for this position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude.
Assist in the recording and maintenance of activity participation records.
Assist with maintaining adequate supplies per department budget.
Assist Residents to and from activities, mealtimes, events, etc.
Attend required in-service training sessions and orientations.
Respond to Residents' needs.
Respect Residents' rights, privacy and dignity.
Perform other duties as needed.
