The Role This Project Management Analyst 4 position is a strategic role responsible for managing and optimizing project workflows, with a particular emphasis on the justification and oversight of machine shop jobs. This position will leverage cost efficiency, specialized expertise, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and align with organizational goals. Job Duties Include: • Assist the Shop with capacity and capability offloads to help maintain shop schedule, cost and performance. • Manage the vendor base of outsourced material for FAB/Sub Shop due to overcapacity or capability. • Point of contact for all technical or material issues within vendor base. • Review/Mitigate risk of drawing revision changes following the award of a purchase orders for sub-contracted items. • Manage the supply base as needed to assure compliance with cost, quality, and schedule. • Provide monthly reports of sub-contracted items and labor to shop and production control. • Arrange for material transportation logistics. • Internal interface with Shop Superintendents, Directors, Engineers, Program Directors, Production Control Managers and Supply Chain. * The majority of time this position will be interfacing with the shops, suppliers and other support staff* Qualifications include: proven experience in justifying and managing outsourcing initiatives, strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in project management software and tools, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience Nice to Have Knowledge or experience with the Fab/Sub Shop machines and processes is preferred.
