Position Overview
The Asset Management Analyst role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of financial statements, and a keen interest in commercial real estate-particularly net lease investments. This individual will work closely with the Vice President of Asset Management and the broader asset management and investment team to monitor property and tenant performance, maintain financial models, underwrite credit memos and support internal and external reporting.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Overland Park, Kansas.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze tenant financial statements to assess credit quality, trends, and risk; support valuation updates, hold/sell analyses, and sensitivity modeling
Track and evaluate property-level KPIs, including NOI, rent coverage, tenant credit metrics, and lease rollover exposure
Support day-to-day asset management activities for a national net lease portfolio, including monitoring tenant performance, rent collections, lease compliance, and key lease events
Build and maintain Excel-based property and portfolio cash flow models to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment decision-making
Prepare recurring reports for management, investment committee, lenders, and investors with accurate financial and asset-level data
Assist with disposition underwriting, due diligence, and disposition tracking
Collaborate with acquisitions, accounting, and legal teams to ensure alignment across underwriting, accounting, and asset management assumptions
Support the onboarding of new acquisitions and provide ad hoc analysis related to refinancings, dispositions, and capital markets initiatives
Qualifications
0- 3 years of relevant professional experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline preferred; other majors will be considered
Strong academic performance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Understanding of core financial concepts, including cash flow analysis, time value of money, and investment return metrics

Role Summary
American Century is seeking to hire a talented individual to participate in its Investment Research Analyst program. In this program, qualified individuals will rotate through various strategies within American Century's US Growth discipline, gaining access to leading portfolio management teams and providing actionable fundamental research support to those teams in an effort to drive superior client outcomes. How You Will Make an Impact
The primary responsibility of the Investment Research Analyst is to research prospective stocks and monitor current portfolio holdings for Growth Equity strategies, recommending purchases and sales.
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis, including industry trends and the competitive landscape, to identify high-potential investment opportunities
Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports to track and measure the effectiveness of investments
Develop investment theses to support purchase and sale decisions

Job Description:
Reinsurance Operations Analyst within group reinsurance administration who supports Sun Life's excess reinsurance treaties. Incumbent may assist with reporting responsibilities among the other members in the department to share knowledge and enhance procedures and processes utilizing best practices to ensure timely and accurate reporting of values in accordance with the governing treaties. The position will support internal customers (e.g., Group Reinsurance Accounting, Finance, Actuarial, etc.) as well as external partners, primarily the reinsurers and their representatives. Additional interactions with the EBG and Stop Loss business areas will occur as needed to support the business.
Skills:
* Must understand what reinsurance is and how group ceded reinsurance works (including an understanding of coinsurance and YRT reinsurance).
* Must comprehend reinsurance treaties and the requirements described within those of both the reinsurers and the ceding company.
* Strong written communication skills required. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
* A working knowledge of Group (Life, Health) and Stop Loss products.
* Moderate to advanced Excel and Access skills, including Visual Basic and the ability to troubleshoot database issues. Python, Tableau or Dataiku a plus.
* Basic skills in accounting and ledger entries
* Well organized with a strong attention to detail, but also able to see the "bigger picture."

Education and Experience Requirements:

* Preparing and processing accrual reporting requirements for submission to Finance on a monthly basis. Monthly files are due by the third business day of each month.

* Receive data files from Finance, premiums and claims systems to prepare and submit settlement report to reinsurers. Perform reasonableness checks on period-to-period movement. Identify and document reasons for larger fluctuations.
* Ensure premium and claim amounts are accurate and reasonable month to month and quarter to quarter.
* Coordinate and ensure payments to and collections from Reinsurers are made in a timely manner in accordance to the treaties.
* Reinsurance Operations backup liaison between Reinsurers and Sun Life. Track, research and resolve inquiries made by Reinsurers. As needed, work with members of Group Valuation, Group Systems, Reinsurance Operations Management and Finance to resolve the issues.
* Work with Reinsurance Operations Management and other departments as necessary to implement solutions if repeat issues are identified.
* Resolve and respond to inquiries made by Finance. As in the case of inquiries made by external Reinsurers, work with Reinsurance Operations Management and other departments as necessary to implement solutions.
Other Responsibilities:
* Participate in the implementation of new reinsurance treaties and treaty amendments as needed.
* Participate in periodic Reinsurance Administration audits, exams and walkthroughs
* Assist with special projects as time permits.
* Support work requests for bug fixes and systems enhancements.
Salary Range: $63,100 - $94,700

Key Responsibilities:

RedTire is a KU School of Business venture designed to enhance the economic well-being of Kansas and the surrounding states. RedTire assists in successfully transitioning the business to new ownership and relies on University of Kansas (KU) student interns during the financial analysis and valuation modelling part of the process.
The KU student analyst's first objective is to provide assistance to the RedTire Director so that quality business and technical consulting assistance to RedTire clients is provided. Secondly, the aim of the role is to also provide an excellent experimental learning opportunity to the KU student. Essential Functions
Prepare the Corporate P&L forecast and consolidate the global forecast on a monthly basis
Provide analysis and reporting used for internal management reporting and external market guidance
Work with global business leaders to understand and improve forecasting processes and reporting
Prepare draft materials for Board of Director meetings
Analyze past results and perform variance analysis, identifying trends and anomalies
Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts
Perform daily payments within the treasury function as required
Perform other duties and research as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
