About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Analyst, Fulfillment & Operations Finance to join our Fulfillment and Distribution team in Gardner, KS. This role plays a critical part in driving operational and financial excellence across our fulfillment network. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance and supporting the VP of Operations, you will act as a trusted finance partner to operational and functional leaders, delivering insights that guide key business decisions in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
This position combines financial analysis, business partnership, and operational insight. You'll develop and maintain financial models, evaluate performance metrics, and help drive initiatives that improve cost efficiency, productivity, and employee performance across fulfillment and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Finance Support
Lead and execute budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning processes across departments.
Use strong financial acumen to build models and analyses that inform decision-making and improve cost, efficiency, and throughput.
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and departmental leaders to align financial objectives with operational performance.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements that automate, standardize, or simplify financial and business tools.
Provide financial and operational recommendations to business leaders, challenging assumptions when necessary.
Drive performance visibility through daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards and deep-dive analytics.
Operational & Strategic Analysis
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across fulfillment and distribution operations, including labor utilization, cost per order, shipping efficiency, and capacity optimization.
Develop scenario and sensitivity models to assess the impact of business decisions, process changes, and network initiatives.
Support labor planning and workforce optimization as part of strategic initiatives across fulfillment operations.
Deliver monthly reporting packages with variance explanations, operational commentary, and forward-looking recommendations.
Controllership & Data Integrity
Own financial reporting for assigned business areas, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues, maintaining high standards of controllership.
Develop scalable, auditable data processes and reporting tools-incorporating AI where applicable to detect anomalies, improve efficiency, and increase data reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong partnerships across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure alignment between financial outcomes and operational goals.
Participate in production meetings, business reviews, and project planning sessions to connect financial insight with operational execution.
Communicate data and insights clearly-tailoring your message to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership Support
Serve as a subject-matter expert on financial processes supporting fulfillment operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and performance measurement.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that use AI and predictive analytics to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and performance measurement.
Support leadership through ad-hoc financial and operational analysis for high-impact decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field (MBA or CPA preferred).
5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or operations finance-
within a fulfillment, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and deliver actionable insights.
Expert-level Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
Working knowledge of ERP and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.) preferred.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership.

The Cyber Security Analyst II is a crucial junior to mid-level contributor that is required to operate with managerial oversight, as a part of the global Digital Business Team. RedTire is a KU School of Business venture designed to enhance the economic wellbeing of Kansas and the surrounding states. The program finds the most suitably qualified candidate buyers to match with a successful small- to medium-sized business to prevent the shuttering of business due to a lack of owner successor. RedTire assists in successfully transitioning the business to new ownership and relies on University of Kansas (KU) student interns during the financial analysis and valuation modelling part of the process.
The KU student analyst's first objective is to provide assistance to the RedTire Director so that quality business and technical consulting assistance to RedTire clients is provided. Secondly, the aim of the role is to also provide an excellent experimental learning opportunity to the KU student. They will work on ‘live real-world' case scenarios to successfully transition a business from a retiring owner, by redefining their retirement, to a new younger owner who will acquire their business. The position works on-site at Capitol Federal Hall and will receive $10.25 per hour during the initial training period. Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position provides research and evaluation support, assisting in developing a research design to evaluate the processes and impacts of risk management, including risk containment and risk reduction; and taking lead responsibility for ongoing statistical profile and analysis of the offender population. This position will prepare ad hoc data runs and reports and yearly reports regarding statistical attributes and trends of offenders, programs, services and interventions, as directed, and consistent with the KDOC Strategic Action Plan (SAP).
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Conducts data pulls, analyses and comparisons, and prepares reports, regarding offender attributes, demographics, activities, trends, and behaviors, on an ad hoc and annual basis, as directed, and in support of the KDOC Strategic Action Plan (SAP). This information will come from both juvenile and adult systems as needed on behalf of the KDOC.
Assists in identifying questions and issues to be addressed in a comprehensive SAP, to address all issues related to risk management, including risk containment and risk reduction; identify correlation between interventions and behaviors and outcomes; and identifying trends that reflect the effectiveness of various interventions related to risk reduction.
Assists other managers in framing questions and data elements to assist in reviewing the ongoing effort to contain and reduce risk, according to proper research methodologies and practices, and as directed and requested. Assists managers in defining policy alternatives in terms of suitable for testing and analysis. Participants in ongoing discussion and strategic planning regarding data trends, what these trends mean in terms of practices, and how to continue to enhance the agencies' ability to deliver evidence-based practices regarding offenders and their behavior.
Responds to information queries and survey questionnaires, compiles offender-related statistics for submission to national agencies, other research groups, and both KDOC and non-KDOC parties. Coordinates the review of (and reviews) research proposals submitted by other agencies and individuals outside the KDOC Research Unit, including correspondence with the researcher before, during and upon completion.
Advises on the use of statistical analysis data retrieval/analysis capability. Prepares statistical information regarding offender population impact assessments on proposed and enacted legislation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Three of year's experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined by the agency. Substitution: None.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal justice, Statistics, or other similar field.
Knowledge of one or more computer-based report writing/data analysis software packages such as Crystal Reports, SQLExplorer, SAS, SPSS, Business Objects or Microsoft Analytical tools.
Strong skills in MS Excel, Access and SQL.
Knowledge of the corrections system and processes
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must pass a criminal history records check.

Position Overview
RedTire is a KU School of Business venture designed to enhance the economic well-being of Kansas and the surrounding states. The program finds the most suitably qualified candidate buyers to match with a successful small- to medium-sized business to prevent the shuttering of business due to a lack of owner successor. RedTire assists in successfully transitioning the business to new ownership and relies on University of Kansas (KU) student interns during the financial analysis and valuation modelling part of the process.
The KU student analyst's first objective is to provide assistance to the RedTire Director so that quality business and technical consulting assistance to RedTire clients is provided. Secondly, the aim of the role is to also provide an excellent experimental learning opportunity to the KU student. They will work on 'live real-world' case scenarios to successfully transition a business from a retiring owner, by redefining their retirement, to a new, younger owner who will acquire their business. The position works on-site at Capitol Federal Hall and will receive $10.25 per hour during the initial training period. Ideal candidates will continue in the role for multiple semesters and receive increasing wage adjustments for returning semesters, commensurate with performance.
The KU student in this position will receive the benefit of:
