POSITION FUNCTION
Analysts will have interaction in all aspects of the private equity process, including initial due diligence, raising debt financing, advisor diligence, documentation and transaction closing, and post-closing portfolio monitoring activities.
*The salary for this position is ~$80,000 - prorated for the duration of the internship
Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:
Investment Due Diligence: Analysts spend the majority of their time on the investment side of the business. This includes:
Examine industries to identify potentially attractive buyout candidates
Attend industry conferences to gain knowledge of industry trends and key competitors
Review confidential information memorandums of companies for sale
Help develop work plans, review data rooms, and draft data requests
Participate in company management presentations and due diligence sessions
Interact directly with senior management of target companies and senior members at Nonantum
Assist with debt financing, financial covenants, and debt documentation
Assist with deal closing activities
Portfolio Company Strategy:
Analysts also spend time on portfolio company strategy. This will include developing operational improvement plans that will be implemented after a transaction closes, attending board meetings, sitting in with senior executives, and helping manage external consulting teams.
