    Job Description Attorney - Atlanta If you are looking for the challenge of varied and complex litigation working alongside top litigators, Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is the place for you in Atlanta. At Hawkins Parnell, you will be immersed in all stages of cases from pre-suit claim investigation through mediation, arbitration or trial and appeal as part of a team of seasoned attorneys handling professional liability, general liability and commercial coverage cases. There will be a wide range of subject areas and clients providing a broad experience for a talented attorney who wishes to join a success driven, vibrant team. What You Will Be Doing Analyzing and summarizing legal documents Researching, both legal and of people, businesses, and worksites Evaluating cases and strategically developing defenses Conducting client meetings and recommending strategies Investigating facts, planning, preparing and conducting depositions Preparing and arguing motions Conducting hearings and mediations Preparing witnesses and corporate representatives Briefing at trial and appellate courts Thinking analytically Writing defense mediation summaries What You Need to Bring Actively licensed and in good standing with the State of Georgia Critical thinking and research skills Strong writing, analytical, and communications skills with superior attention to detail 1-5 years' experience in defense litigation; solid insurance defense experience with professional liability and/or coverage litigation experience a plus Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines Must be a self-starter who can handle multiple projects with competing priorities and understand the importance of deadlines Client-focused mentality Take initiative and welcome challenges Ability to work flexibly and independently within a strong team Ability to review and interpret financial records is a plus What You Will Receive Salary range of $125,000.00 to $150,000.00 based on experience including quarterly bonus potential, year-end bonuses and referral incentives Hybrid in Atlanta work arrangement Exposure to extremely varied types of work Significant client interface opportunities Mentorship by experienced partners Camaraderie through work and social activities with local and national attorneys of the firm Allowance for CLE travel and bar expenses paid by the firm Marketing allowance 401K plan Health & welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision HSA and FSA plans Company provided life insurance up to $150k with additional guaranteed issue life insurance available Company paid long-term disability coverage and available short-term disability coverage Parental leave Employee Assistance Program Why Hawkins Parnell & Young?
