The Farmers Market Manager will also serve on the West Chester Market Committee, which meets two to three times per year and is comprised of two township representatives, as well as representatives from the following organizations: local vendors, citizen/local food advocate, MidPointe Library, and Travel Butler County. The committee selects vendors, partners with local agencies to program market events, and promotes the market to the wider community. This is a part-time position, averaging 10-15 hours per week. Attendance at the market each week is mandatory. The manager helps set up and take down the market, ensuring vendors are on-site and ready to go by 8:45 a.m. Typical Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Additional hours are flexible outside of Saturdays.
