Our neuropathologists also provide neuropathology consult service for a 7-state region of the Midwest and Mountain West that lacks board certified neuropathologists. In addition to central nervous system (CNS) and spine cases, our neuropathologists cover eye pathology, medical neuro-autopsy examinations, engage in teaching associated with the CU School of Medicine, and perform independent and collaborative research. The successful candidate should be well-versed in emerging molecular tools and diagnostic paradigms particularly associated with cancer and neoplastic disorders, with less emphasis on degenerative neuropathology. The identified candidate will also provide support and consultation for scientific and clinical initiatives as well as have an opportunity to develop their own academic studies. Key Responsibilities: Surgical biopsy/resection and medical autopsy derived neuropathology cases from UCH (primarily) and CHCO (secondarily), associated system hospitals as well as consulting institutions, pathologists, and patients. Ensure timely test completion and accurate reporting of pathology tests associated with your practice, consultations, or translational research.
