As an AssociateDesigner you will be responsible for the development and analysis of prototypes for medical devices by supporting new product development projects and concept evaluation.
What you will do -
Create models and drawings for conceptual, prototype, or production on purposes with limited guidance and some ambiguity.
Designs, develops, and refines components, sub systems, prints, fixtures, equipment, overlays, tooling design, etc. according to internal and external standards.
Independently responsible for creation, routing and launching documentation for engineering changes and initial release of designs.
Capable of working with internal and external customers to gather input or provide direction where appropriate.
Regular collaboration with engineers, technicians, and cross functional peers to meet project deliverables.
May support others on use of CAD software.

- Performing other duties as required such as heating/cooling load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, equipment selections, system layouts, and coordination with other design disciplines.
- Developing detailed energy models and Life Cycle Cost Analysis for various building types.
- Performing Level 1 through 3 energy audits to assess energy consumption, evaluate HVAC performance, identify high-energy loads, and propose energy-saving measures.
- Performing site surveys, developing equipment inventories, evaluating proposed energy efficiency measures, and recommending improvements.
- Collaborating with sales staff to develop proposals in response to current and prospective client requests for proposals (RFPs). Reviewing draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local, and federal regulations and best practices. Engaging with existing and potential clients to review their current and future design needs.
- Attending conferences, symposia, and similar events to enhance the visibility of the firm's products and services in coordination with relevant sales staff.

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Design or currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Design with a graduation completion date of spring/summer 2026
* 1+ years of Industrial Design experience (experience may include academics, internships or co-ops)

* 1+ years of professional Industrial Design experience in a corporate or consultant environment
* 3D Computer modeling skills
* Strong project management and planning skills
* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines
