Overview
We are currently seeking Level 4 Designers with Oil - Gas Pipeline mapping design experience. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in preparing drawings and in alignment sheet production, HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) design, and crossing permit drawing development, and must be proficient in AutoCad. Additionally, experience with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain pipeline alignment sheets using Civil 3D and Skyline.
* Experience developing base files for FERC filings.
* Design and document HDD crossings, including profile views and construction details.
* Prepare crossing permit drawings in compliance with regulatory and client standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and project manager to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
* Manage and organize project files using ProjectWise.
* Perform quality control checks on mapping and design drawings.
* Support field teams with mapping data and updates as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university. Management may consider other education and work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position
* 15+ years of experience in pipeline mapping and design
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
* Strong understanding of pipeline engineering workflows and regulatory requirements
* Proven experience in HDD design and crossing permit documentation.

Job Description
At Matrix PDM we strive to recruit, hire and develop high caliber Drafter graduates for our internship program. The purpose of this program is to provide practical experience to top drafting/design students while identifying individuals with the ambition and talent to join the Matrix PDM team.
The internship program is approximately 12 weeks in length reserved for final year students seeking experience. Internships are required prior to full time employment regardless of the individual's secondary education institutes requirements for graduation.
Interns will assist Matrix PDM's in-house drafting and design team while gaining insight into the industrial construction industry with a focus on detailed tank design.
Job Summary
The Drafter Intern is responsible for providing basic drafting support including running programs, basic design calculations, layouts, and completing standard drawings, as required. Interns will be exposed to atmospheric tank design, cryogenic tank design, and design associated with modifications to existing tanks.

Qualifications
Student pursuing a degree in COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN OR DRAFTING (or recently graduated)
Entry-level; no experience required
Experience in AutoCAD, CAD Worx, and/or Inventor preferred
Experience in Microsoft applications
Knowledge of ANSI drawing standards preferred
Knowledge of detailed equipment design preferred
General computer knowledge and skills
Basic understanding of general math and trigonometry functions
Ability to effectively work within a team
High motivation and curiosity
Demonstrates a proactive approach and consistently positive demeanor.
GPA 3.0 or greater

This is a Lead Technical Designer position within the Power Delivery & Renewable unit of Arcadis. The position requires candidate directly interface with Arcadis power delivery project management, project engineering, and power delivery team. The position is accountable to ensure project execution in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of Arcadis's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The incumbent will also work closely with other Power Delivery departments, including the Substation Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, and the System Planning and Studies teams, as well as with other Arcadis business divisions and sectors.
The position consisting in the coordination of the power delivery renewable energy team and performing hands on Transmission (HVAC/HVDC) engineering, detail design and studies for utility and developer clients in North America. The incumbent will also work closely with other renewable energy team (e.g. wind, solar, green H2, etc.) with Arcadis business units. As part of the Power Delivery & Renewable team, you will help improve quality of life.
Role accountabilities:
Support, develop, and deliver HV and EHV transmission and distribution line projects from 2kV up to 500kV
Independently perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies and analysis, plan and profile documents, prepare bidding documents and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement and construction documents under minimal supervision
Coordinate closely with civil, substation, high-voltage electrical, telecommunications, geotechnical engineers to develop complete Issue For Construction design packages for projects
Act as Project Manager (as needed) and Technical Design Lead to support project and client services and plan
Serve as a mentor to junior members of the team. Conduct quality assurance/quality control on the work of other electrical/civil engineers, electrical designers, or technicians. Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors to support business development and project execution
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Engineering Technologist or equivalent from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within Transmission and Distribution line projects from 4kV up to 500kV. Able to execute and delivery transmission line package under minimal supervision
Must be proficient with PLS-CADD software (good to have PLS-POLE or PLS TOWER), AutoCAD, Micro-station
Must be able to engineer and design HV and EHV transmission design, bills of material, plan and profiles, and construction packages
Must have design experience adhering to National Electrical Code, National Electric Safety Code, IEEE codes and standards, and county, city and state codes, ordinances and standards
Preferred Qualifications
AutoCAD 3D (strongly preferred)
