This position has a starting salary of $70,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, and UNCAPPED commission potential!

The construction Project Director is responsible for estimating, closing the sale of, and managing restoration projects. The Project Director works closely with owners and managers of commercial, multifamily, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, and residential properties damaged by man-made or natural disasters to develop cost estimates for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services. The Project Director is the quarter back of the project, ensuring that budgets and projects are on track through completion.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales:
Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales goals
Negotiate and execute contracts on behalf of the company
Selling all services that BluSky offers
Convert opportunities into sales
Track and Measure sales and sales opportunities in our CRM and Tracking Sheets
Revenue:
Oversee and expedite revenue production in accordance with monthly goals
Work with all members of the project team to ensure timeliness of deposit, progress, and final billings
Provide oversight and direction to the Project Manager in production of revenue
Review and collaborate with Project Team on Project schedules
Profit Margins:
Develop and take ownership of the project budget in compliance with vertical target margins
Ensure the accuracy of the budget and modify it during the course of the project, if conditions warrant
Seek to improve project profitability by judicious use of vendors, in-house labor, and material suppliers
Supervise and monitor project costs to ensure margin integrity
AR & Collections:
Intentional conversations at the beginning of each project outlining the AR process and setting expectations with the customer for collections
Review and understand specific program's for invoicing, payment terms, conditions, and process
Perform weekly collection calls on all accounts
Weekly reviews for A/R Aging to proactively manage the accounts, monitor lien rights, and follow through on assignments
Maintain DSO (Days Sale Outstanding) at or below 75 days
Manage Near Term Opportunities:
Work directly with clients & claims handling teams to close leads
Maintain robust communication with clients to steer direction toward closing
Document communication and curate all files in the BluSky CRM systems
Business Development Activity:
Schedule and attend two business development meetings a week with clients, adjusters, building consultants, etc.
Participate in various special events to market BluSky - luncheons, trade shows, award dinners, etc.
Entertain clients as necessary to drive business and close sales
Partner with business development and Vice President in pursuit of all sales
Estimating Proficiency:
Accurate sketching of affected areas and use of Matterport technology.
Time and Material (T&M) / Xactimate knowledge (need to be able to explain the T&M bill file & justify Xactimate line items)
Ability to estimate a project to fit all target margins per the service provided
Customer Satisfaction:
Consistent weekly communication with all stakeholders (external and internal)
Setting expectations upfront with the customer
Holding teams accountable to provide updates
Check in with the customer throughout the project
Email communication should have all stakeholders on the thread
Working and coordinating with internal teams: Mitigation
Coordinate to get the work authorization signed so we can respond timely
Walking the job with the technician team to define the scope of work
Share client feedback/changes in scope
Review daily T&M sheets with the Mitigation operations team
Work directly with the Mitigation operations team
Site visit at completion to confirm all work is completed per client expectations
Reconstruction
Project Kick Offs confirming scope of work and target budget / margin
Constant communication with the Project Manager (PM) throughout the course of the project
Work with the PM to get timely change orders submitted for approval
Work with the PM to send weekly updates
Business Development
Communicate with the Business Development Manager (BD) about the new opportunity to get it into Salesforce timely
Keep the BD on all email communication with the mutual client
Update the BD on all changes to the project timely
Help the BD update the NTO list that you are both working
Project Accountants
Oversee completed work authorizations so the PA can get the job into Vista
Work with the PA to send out invoices
Work with the PA to upload change orders
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of Recent marketing/business development and sales experience in the restoration or construction industry with a proven track record of sales growth
Extensive Construction estimating and/or large loss and catastrophe experience
Must be able to attend Business Development networking functions 2-3 evenings a week
Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills
Experience utilizing Xactimate and other estimating software preferred
Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong knowledge of project management, financial processes, and administration required
Strong business ethics, integrity, and the ability to perform in highly autonomous environments required
OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience related to the role is preferred
TRAVEL:
Minimal out of state travel is required. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training, meetings, or jobs.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Serve as Trusted Advisor:
Serve as trusted business advisor to PGL in support of PG strategy, people, finances, and operations.

Support the development/execution of the PG strategic plan, monitor/report progress monthly, and ensure that ongoing PG initiatives are in line with the strategic goals.

Finance:
Provide clear visibility of financial PG performance by monitoring historical performance, analyzing trends, reporting results YTD, forecasting to EOY and making recommendations for improvement.

Resolve financial PG issues with support from the appropriate BusSvc leadership (Acctg, Fin, Bill, Coll, etc.)
Prepare financial content for monthly meetings using data from Finance and internal financial systems.
Identify those timekeepers and clients that are driving current trends and determine how to address/leverage.
Manage PG Mktg/BusDev expenses from budget creation to monthly expense approvals and reporting.
Provide ad hoc PG data analysis and recommendations as requested.
Operations:
Act on behalf of the PGLs to ensure PG operations run smoothly keeping PGL involvement to a minimum.
Research, identify, develop, and manage opportunities to improve PG operations and source solutions to improve efficiency by collaborating with internal BusSvc departments or engaging external business partners.
Manage monthly meetings by scheduling time, creating agendas/PPTs, arranging guest speakers and ensuring status is reported (firm initiatives, financials, recruiting status, BusSvc updates, tech offerings, etc.)
Provide ad hoc data analysis that facilitates decision-making for PGLs.
Analyze productivity data and coordinate weekly workload reporting/assignments to ensure full PG utilization.
Actively investigate alternative legal practice technologies and processes that provide new PG efficiencies.
Ensure the PG is able to deliver industry leading project management solutions to its clients.
Encourage collaboration with other PGs and client initiatives/programs within the firm.
People:
Provide support continuity and best practices training for new hires and new PGLs.
Facilitate status of new laterals between Recruiting and PGL keeping PGL involvement to a minimum.
Ensure focus is maintained on the PG promotion pipeline and current candidates.
Facilitate people issues with PGL and appropriate BusSvc leadership (ProfDev, HR, Mktg, etc.)
Investigate new talent models that are most appropriate for the PG that can improve overall leverage and profitability.
Provide orientation to all new laterals on issues related to PG (meetings, reports, resources, etc.)
Support and facilitate ongoing training and professional development of all PG lawyers.
Maintain MS Teams site so that the PG has access to all historical monthly meeting materials.

Specific Skills Required:

Starting Range: $100,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Hybrid Schedule: 2 days in office required.
/Essential Function
Primary focus includes the management of all scheduled programs, from soliciting, reviewing and
negotiating of all hotels, convention center and vendor contracts to the facilitation of meeting
logistics. Provide direct leadership and guidance to the Meeting Services Department, and
collaborates with the Education and Exhibits Departments, to plan and produce high-quality and
cost-effective educational activities in accordance with ACCME, AMA, AdvaMed, and international
guidelines where appropriate. Organizes, analyzes, and recommends locations for education and
business meetings. Assist in creating strategic marketing plans, responsible for the overall
logistical management of meetings, both educational and committee. Develops and manages activity
budgets; provides financial reporting and performance tracking.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities
1. Administer the solicitation and negotiation of all meeting-related contracts. Can delegate
specific contracts to other team members to initiate.
2. Manage meeting logistics and RFPs for all meetings, educational or committee, including but
not limited to hotel, convention center, and vendor contracts, meeting room assignment and set-up,
food and beverage, audiovisual, signage, destination management, special events, board, faculty and
staff travel, and registration.
3. Directly responsible for the overall Annual Meeting city selection, convention center and
hotel contracting. Control all logistics for the Annual Meeting provides support for the technical
exhibition.
4. Work directly in partnership procurement and contracting between NASS and other related medical
societies, as needed.
5. All duties as assigned by Executive Director and/or Associate Executive Director of Event
Services to achieve NASS goals and objectives in promoting the values and mission.
6. Delegate and assign projects to Meeting Services department staff.
7. Maintain a working knowledge of all NASS service areas and provides peer support/back-up as
needed.
8. Assists in establishing a productive relationship with members, staff, and volunteers.
9. Track meeting schedules of other spine-related societies and groups to try to prevent overlap
of events.
10. Assist in writing, proofing and editing marketing copies and supporting text.
11. Assist in establishing a productive relationship with volunteers, members, staff, as well as
contractors, site personnel (hotel and convention center) while striving to enhance the image and
reputation of NASS as a pre-eminent, high-quality medical specialty society.
12. Develop and accurately maintain historical / statistical database for all meetings assigned
and generate reports as requested.
13. Preparation of the annual and individual program budgets as assigned, monitor financial
condition of the programs for cost-effectiveness, approves all expenditures.
14. Provide feedback in developing a marketing strategy for CME activities and products. Analyze
member's past annual meeting comments, to identify improvements. Meet with internal resources
regularly to coordinate CME educational resource efforts, and to integrate marketing strategy into
overall NASS promotional plan.
15. Delegate faculty arrangements, vendor, and logistical needs to various NASS staff.
16. Write, proof, and edit marketing copy and supporting text.
17. Edit, proof, and prepare reference materials for distribution onsite.
18. Evaluate work performance of Meeting Services Department staff.
19. Update conflict calendars as required.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. Nine years+ of meeting planning experience required.
3. CMP preferred

Directly supervised and reviewed by Associated Executive Director of Event Services. Independent in
determining work methods and deadlines. Minimal supervision required. Deadlines set by Meeting
