Scope
Reporting to the Associate Director, North America Transportation Compliance, Freight Pay/Audit & Analytics, the Sr. Manager, Transportation Operations is responsible for driving financial performance across inbound and outbound transportation activities supporting Becton Dickinson's manufacturing, sterilization, supplier, and warehouse operations. This role provides strategic oversight of transportation financial results, including annual budget development, quarterly forecasting, and monthly variance analysis.
The Sr. Manager partners closely with business operations to ensure cost performance aligns with expectations, identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to deliver BD Excellence Deployment and achieve cost savings targets while enhancing customer experience. The Sr. Manager also plays a key role in developing and executing "Cost to Win" strategies, assessing process changes, aligning stakeholders, and driving implementation to deliver measurable results. Managing North America finished goods transportation spend of approximately $275M, this role is critical in ensuring effective governance and cost control. Responsibilities include overseeing the carrier rate process, ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority, and maintaining accurate rate agreements for transportation planning and Freight Audit.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead Strategic Initiatives: Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, high-impact supply chain programs and projects that bring value within the integrated supply chain, with a focus on North America.
* Cost Optimization & Service Improvement: Identify, recommend, and lead initiatives aimed at reducing transportation costs and improving service levels across the network.

* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as procurement, warehousing, and customer service to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain operations.
* Carrier Relationship Management: Support the management of third-party carrier relationships to ensure transportation needs are met in a cost-effective and service-oriented manner.
* Financial Performance Management: Partner with assigned business units to handle annual freight budgets, including:
* Developing baseline spend data for budget creation.
* Performing quarterly budget refreshes based on actual performance and updated assumptions.
* Conducting meticulous monthly variance analysis and providing actionable insights to guide decision-making.
* Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards to monitor transportation operations and drive continuous improvement.
* Strategy Development: Contribute to the North America transportation strategy for inbound and outbound operations, focusing on technology, systems, and analytics to meet internal and external customer needs.
* Carrier Rate Governance: Oversee the carrier rate process, collaborating with Procurement to ensure contracts and rate agreements are properly driven, retained, and disseminated for Transportation Management System (TMS) planning and freight audit/pay processes.
* Parcel Operations Oversight: Handle the North America parcel analysis function, including:
* Building and maintaining dashboards to monitor spend and activity.
* Serving as the subject matter expert on pricing agreements, service types, freight characteristics
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Integrated Supply Chain, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Transportation Management, Planning/Inventory Management, Distribution Management, Analytics, Technical Systems, or Customer Management.
Proven track record to handle multiple priorities, establish clear targets and objectives, and deliver projects on time, including oversight of third-party providers through defined KPIs and performance metrics.
Strong understanding of enterprise systems such as SAP, JDE, BI, BY TMS, and other relational database sources to support metrics, dashboards, management reviews, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for North America Transportation Operations.
Advanced proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (Power BI, Excel, etc.) to design and maintain dashboards that drive operational insights and decision-making.
Demonstrated experience as a hands-on leader, with the ability to engage, influence, and advise stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and alignment across complex projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting into the Senior Study Manager, the AssociateManager, Clinical Operations, is responsible for providing operational management support in the conduct of MMRF clinical trials and translational research studies.
Essential Functions:

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER DUTIES
Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
Review goals with partners, providing consistent and timely coaching, actionable feedback, and recognition of excellence. Lead by example, being present on the sales floor during peak business hours.
Implement and maintain an environment of continuous learning and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance results across both operational and merchandising areas. Develop individual team members to meet various career goals within in the company.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs and procedures; adjust store schedule as needed, implement operational directives, train operational staff on new policies and procedures, and communicate with all appropriate District, Region and Store Support Center partners as needed.
Assess and communicate localized customers' needs to Store Manager.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to plan and execute successful volume driving events that involve outreach to the local community/market
Lead and coach associates in building customer engagement through the Boot Barn Credit Card and B Rewarded Loyalty Programs. Provide accountability for achieving individual and team goals.
Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations, signing and assortments to meet the needs of your customer along with adhering to all Company visual presentation guidelines.
Accountable for markdown compliance and execution. Ensure product receipts are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Partner with Store Manager on inventory shrink plans and act as key driver of this strategy with store team.
Maintain personal knowledge in across all product categories (western boots, work boots, denim, hats and add-ons) and coach and train partners in these areas.
Complete all opening and closing procedures to company standards and comply with the company's Time and Attendance policy and procedures.
Adhere to and enforce all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
Possess well-developed business acumen and understands all aspects of the store's operations.
Demonstrate high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, team members, corporate partners and vendors. Additionally, demonstrate high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
Additional duties as assigned by District Manager or Store Support Center partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management
Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
Flexibility with scheduling and willing to work extended hours when necessary.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Associate Director, Clinical Operations, the Associate Study Manager is responsible for leading the operational planning and execution of translational clinical research studies, overseeing all aspects of a study from initiation through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, GCP), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data on time and within budget. The Associate Study Manager will provide high level management and oversight of translational clinical research studies conducted through the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium (MMRC), including the Translational Research Umbrella studies (TRU). The Associate Study Manager will be responsible for all aspects of study conduct, accountable for ensuring that timelines and milestones are met, and for will serve as the primary point of contact, under the direction of the Associate Director. Experience and knowledge of end-to-end management of clinical and translational research conduct, knowledge of academic and hospital study site operations, the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, and regulatory requirements is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage all aspects of the study, including responsibility for oversight of study execution, develop and manage comprehensive study timelines and metrics; management/oversight of external vendor deliverables reports and budgets.
Study design and planning: Actively participate in protocol development, feasibility assessments, site selection, and budget planning for assigned studies. Write and review study protocols, informed consent forms, and amendments, as appropriate.
Manage and report on study budget, working closely with finance and accounting.
Manage/track study budget progress, expenses, vendor, pharma/biotech partner invoices, and study site payments.
Prepare study reports and disseminate, present, and inform on all aspects of the study progress to MMRF leadership and cross functional teams.
Prepare and present project reports as required.
Plans, executes, and leads study-specific meetings as needed (e.g., Study Management Meetings, site calls etc.).
Risk management: Proactively identify potential risks associated with the study and implement mitigation strategies.
Develop and facilitate requests for proposals (RFP) for all study vendors, including and others, as appropriate, under the direction of the Associate Director, Clinical Operations.
Conduct critical analysis of areas of risk; identify, manage or escalate risks as appropriate.
Ensure that study issues and action items are addressed, closeout appropriately and in compliance with study management plans.
Prepares and/or reviews and takes accountability for the accuracy of study-related documents.
Accountable for study-specific legal agreements and other legal documentation as required for vendors, pharma partners, sites, etc.
Ensures audit-ready condition of study records and documentation, both electronic and paper.
Develops internal processes for improved efficiencies associated with study management
Develops, reviews and is responsible for the maintenance of study-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Prepare and submit regulatory documents to central IRB. Manage all study IRB and other regulatory documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) in scientific or health care discipline required; master's degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of clinical study operations experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, or CRO settings, preferably within oncology.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex protocols and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
Strong experience in clinical project management including study start-up, conduct, and closeout.
Experience in working with external research vendors is required
Translational research experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with Medidata Rave including eCRF management, database oversight, and query handling. Solid financial acumen, including study budgeting, invoice processing, and site payment management. Experience in drafting and reviewing study protocols, informed consent forms, etc.
Experience preparing and submitting regulatory documents to IRBs.
Excellent working knowledge GCP, FDA and ICH Guidelines. Ensures the assigned research studies are executed in compliance with FDA and ICH GCP guidelines/regulations and SOPs
Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced small company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
