About the Role
The Westerville Campus Small Groups and Discipleship Pastor will provide pastoral leadership for discipleship ministries at Vineyard Columbus. This role focuses on leading Vineyard Core, new believer discipleship, and other discipleship offerings. The pastor will identify and equip leaders, build healthy systems of care and accountability, and help people grow deeper in their walk with Christ.
This position also assists with small group leader development, curriculum creation, and discipleship training while supporting church-wide pastoral responsibilities such as weddings, funerals, and weekend services.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who creates momentum, attracts and develops other leaders, and thrives on equipping people to serve in ministry.
What You'll Do
Oversee and execute Vineyard discipleship labs, ensuring quality and consistency.
Provide leadership and pastoral oversight for new believer discipleship and related programs.
Recruit, coach, and support leaders and volunteers engaged in discipleship ministries.
Assist in planning and facilitating Small Group leader trainings and gatherings.
Maintain accurate records of leaders and groups in ministry databases.

Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of leadership experience in a church or para-church ministry
Degree in a relevant field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and ministry experience)
Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
Strong strategic thinking and organizational abilities
Deep knowledge of Scripture and Kingdom theology with a commitment to living it out
Excellent oral and written communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The CSM position leads ministry in a college campus environment. A designated office space may or may not be available. The CSM is required to travel to on-campus and off- campus sites as appropriate. Off-campus travel includes, but is not limited to: student ministry conferences, Ministry Partnership Development meetings, and InterVarsity- sponsored training sessions, meetings, and conferences. Moeller is seeking a full-time Campus Minister (Director of Formation of Faith) to join our dynamic, dedicated, and collaborative faculty starting in August 2026. Selected Duties
Coordinate all aspects of retreat experiences for all students
Design and create retreats
Recruit and train student leaders
Lead faculty retreat teams
Plan meaningful liturgies and enhance experiences of prayer
Collaborate with the campus ministry team for organization and implementation of all programming and activities
Team includes full-time director of service, justice, and peace; a full-time administrative assistant; and a part-time priest chaplain
Oversee student and adult leadership teams
Coordinate with appropriate parties to provide pastoral care and bereavement support to students
Facilitate small faith sharing groups and support groups, including Marianist LIFE ministry
Qualifications
Experience in youth retreats and retreat methodology
Ability to relate to high school aged males and motivate them to bring their faith to life
Strong collaboration skills and experience working with small groups to create and implement programs.
High level of organizational skills
Willingness to work a flexible time schedule, including weekend and overnight retreat experiences.
Must be a practicing Catholic
Master's degree preferred

Partner with and respond positively to the direction and coaching of your supervisors and national leaders
Contribute to collaborative and productive team meetings and relationships
Affiliate chapters under your care and submit Graduating Student Forms in order to increase our partnership with current students and alumni
Use national ministry resources and tools, as requested, including recruiting and/or participating in local, regional, or national conferences as required
Complete reporting, planning and review requirements in a timely way so that you and your supervisors can assess and improve your work as a CSM

4. Ministry Partnership Development
As a Campus Staff Minister, you will develop a team of partners - churches and individuals (including alumni and community members) - who will resource the ministry financially, in prayer, or volunteer service that advances the mission.
Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by your supervisor
Communicate regularly with your ministry partners, nurturing the relationship through visits, phone calls, emails and regular prayer letters
Develop on-going, long-lasting partnership with alumni and volunteers

5. Accomplish all other assigned tasks as appropriate QUALIFICATIONS (common to all levels of CSM)

Bachelor's degree required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus. A minimum of an Associate's degree required for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or a community college
Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty)

Demonstrated problem solving skills
Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The CSM position leads ministry in a college campus environment. A designated office space may or may not be available. The CSM is required to travel to on-campus and off- campus sites as appropriate. Off-campus travel includes, but is not limited to: student ministry conferences, Ministry Partnership Development meetings, and InterVarsity- sponsored training sessions, meetings, and conferences. The CSM is regularly required to communicate with others, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.

Rivers and Rail InterVarsity
Pay Range: $39,288.00 - $52,392.00 per year
Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living.
