Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
Candidate will serve as the Product Team Product Owner for the C2BMC Planner Product Team. The candidate will be responsible for driving value delivery for the Planner application, part of a complex missile defense command-and-control system.
Essential Functions:
Align stakeholders need to ensure regular delivery of value to the customer
Coordinate and prioritize needs across multiple Task Orders and products at various stages of development
Contribute to the overall C2BMC Program Roadmap
Assess progress and update leadership on status
Interface with the Government
Manage stakeholder expectations
Collaborate with other Product Teams and ARTs to plan and deliver C2BMC releases
Coordinate with the Planner Support Cell, Training, Platform & Infrastructure, and Technical Leadership Teams, and communicate priorities to the Product Team
Assist in preparing and delivering briefings and demonstrations to customers
Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams in developing and integrating large, complex software applications
Extensive experience managing stakeholders in a large, complex development program
Will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and possess the poise and flexibility needed to thrive in a highly dynamic environment
Development of Mission or Defense Planning applications
Experience with containerized software development and integration
Experience collaborating with third-party providers and coordinating with external teams

Basic Qualifications:

Position Description: The Director of Product will lead the development, execution, and management of Caliola's product portfolio for radically reprogrammable radios and associated electronic payloads. The Chief Product Owner coordinates priorities with the Team Product Owners. Together they align backlog priorities with stakeholder and customer needs. Their main responsibilities are the same as a regular Product Owner's now scaled: Setting a strategic vision for the whole Regional Apps product. Develop and communicate the overarching product vision across the Apps teams. Coordinate and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders across different products. Work with teams to identify modernization and continuous improvement opportunities for their products and services. Create and manage a single, prioritized backlog to be delivered by all of the teams Decide which metrics the Product Owner Team will monitor Assess customer product feedback and adjust the common backlog accordingly Leverage the continuous delivery pipeline to release value incrementally.
Collaborate with Scrum teams as well as Solution Management The Chief Product Owner is accountable for the efficient delivery of product increments according to the PI Plan. To fulfill the Product Owner role for the entire Regional Apps agile organization, the Chief Product Owners meet with Solution Management, the customer, and other key stakeholders on a regular basis. Allowing Leadership and other stakeholders to express their preferences to the PO Team, negotiate priorities, alter budgets, or realign teams to maximize the delivery of value.
Qualifications
· Experience leading and managing software development, working as a Product Owner, or developing software/systems.
· Strong communication skills, able to tailor the message to different audiences
· Experience using tools and techniques for project planning, and leading complete SDLC efforts.
· Experience with Agile practices such as daily Scrum, PI Planning.
· Working knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts, Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems, defense communications systems, and the BMDS in general is especially beneficial.
· Software Development/Testing experience.
· Led strategy and management of Product portfolios
· Experience working as a Product Owner in Agile software delivery teams.
· Proficiency in producing, organizing, and sharing knowledge articles, and tracking work items using Atlassian Confluence, Jira.
Education
Expert, authority in discipline typically with an advanced degree and 12+ years' experience or bachelors with 14+ years' experience or equivalent; applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles and contributes toward the development of new principles and concepts; works unusually complex problems with consultative direction; erroneous decisions would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to major organizational objectives and damage the image of the organization's technological capability; advises top management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications; managerial/leadership experience or necessary skills.
