PURPOSE: To provide education, instruction, and mentoring in specific educational content to students at Alaska Christian College and oversee Behavioral Health Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as Chair of the Behavioral Health curriculum.
- Grows and promotes a Behavioral Health program through connections with community partners and other colleges.
- Oversees adjunct faculty in the Behavioral Health area
- Plan, evaluate and revise course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, handouts, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
- Present course material in such a way that enables students to achieve a biblical worldview.
- Teach course material according to Alaska Christian College procedures on syllabi and assessment.
- Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, examinations, and papers.
- Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
- Maintain and report course-related assessments on time.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions and instructional activities.
- Provide instructional and assessment accommodations to students with documented physical and learning disabilities.
- Provide academic advisement and mentoring to students as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed workspace.
- Incorporate diversity into the curriculum.
- Engage in research or scholarly activity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a MA/MS in the Behavioral health-related field.
- Must be a licensed behavioral health clinician or behavioral health professional who will assume responsibilities for course development, evaluation and revision, and the evaluation of students and instructors.
- Must have the knowledge and be able to articulate Alaska Native traditions and culture.
- Must have the knowledge and demonstrated skills or past teaching experiences in all sections in the Behavioral Health Aide matrix at the Level I certification level.
- Successful experience in teaching undergraduate students a variety of courses.
- Demonstrated good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to incorporate new information on current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to identify the educational needs of the students and develop formal educational or training programs to meet those needs.

- Successful experience and commitment to ministry with Native Alaskan students.
- Have lived or worked in an Alaskan village for more than two years.
- Should be an individual with a combination of education, research, work, and/ or life experience relevant to providing leadership in a BHA training center program, including an orientation to Alaska Native culture and traditions, and be familiar with the CHA Program.
- May or may not participate directly in training, but must be familiar with and have approved the curriculum being taught.
- Should have a background in health and education and be able to administrate, serve in a statewide liaison role, uphold the mission of the statewide program, and provide program direction, development, and leadership.

As climate change impacts species and ecosystems across the country, it is increasingly important for resource managers to have high-quality, relevant science to help them make decisions amidst changing conditions. To meet these growing needs, we need a new generation of climate adaptation scientists willing to work with practitioners to meet on-the-ground needs.
The Science to Action Fellowship provides students with an opportunity to apply their science to real-world challenges. Over the course of the one-year fellowship, fellows will work with mentors from the USGS Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) to develop a policy-relevant project related to climate change impacts and adaptation on fish, wildlife, landscapes, and communities. This work will put science into action, applying the fellow's research directly to natural resource decision making.
As a fellow, you will:
* **Develop and implement a 1-year project** that puts your science into action through policy-relevant research on climate change impacts and adaptation
* **Be mentored by CASC experts** in engagement-focused research designed to meet on-the-ground needs
* **Have a $10,000 award** to spend on fellowship project expenses, such as travel to project locations and to optional in-person meetings with CASC mentors and project partners
During the fellowship year and beyond, fellows benefit from collaborations with university and USGS mentors, from interactions with other colleagues and partners of USGS, and from exposure to high priority, real-world challenges in the natural resources policy arena.
The fellowship is supported through Michigan State University's Department of Fisheries and Wildlife and is coordinated by National CASC Research Fish Biologist and Program Coordinator .

**Eligibility**
This opportunity is open to graduate students at any who are students for the entire fellowship year (justified exceptions will be considered in special cases). Applicants may be master's or doctoral students at any stages of their research program. Preference will be given to applicants with a clear research-management/policy link.

The fellowship application process is divided into two stages. First, applicants will submit a Statement of Interestto express interest in the fellowship and to help the review panel pair applicants with potential CASC mentors. Should an applicant be selected to advance to the Full Proposalstage, the CASCs will match the applicant to a potential mentor. The applicant is then invited to work with their mentor to submit a Full Proposal.

Theis America's premier Arctic research institution and we are seeking two tenure-track faculty in cryospheric science at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Both positions will be joint appointments with (75%) and the , (25%). These faculty will carry out externally funded cryospheric research as members of the research group at the Geophysical Institute and will teach core courses in the newly established Earth System Science graduate degree program as well as cryosphere-related courses in the undergraduate Geoscience program. The Snow, Ice, and Permafrost group at UAF's Geophysical Institute is one of the world's leading centers of cryospheric research. We have all realms of the cryosphere on our doorstep, but our group carries out model-, remote sensing-, and field-based research throughout Earth's polar and alpine regions. Members of our group also commonly practice knowledge co-production with members of Arctic communities. Faculty members are responsible for establishing externally funded research programs and expected to collaborate with other faculty members across campus and with other institutions.
The Department of Geosciences offers B.S. degrees in Geosciences and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Earth System Science, Geophysics, and Geoscience. Its unique-in-the-country graduate classes focusing on snow, sea ice, glaciers, and permafrost allow Earth System Science students to earn degrees with a focus on the cryosphere. Mentoring graduate students allows our faculty to develop an effective and productive connection between academics and research.

This clinical assistant professor position is based at the Anchorage Alaska delivery site for the College of Pharmacy and will be responsible for establishing clinical APPE inpatient general medicine rotation at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska. This faculty member is also responsible for didactic teaching commensurate with a 12-month non-tenure track appointment, including PharmD module course coordination and teaching, Case Studies and interprofessional course offerings. Service to the College and University is also expected as is an active scholarship program, based on educational and/or clinical activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Patient care and professional responsibilities: (50%)**
- Serve as a resource and assist in the development and delivery of innovative collaborative practice pharmaceutical care services at Mat-Su Medical Group Alaska
- Patient care activities: develop collaborative care practices within integrated health service models, medication therapy management, collaborative post-diagnostic disease management
- Other clinical activities: medication use evaluations, staff development, participate in Mat-Su P&T Committee or other applicable committees
- Provide preceptor development for other health care professionals and serve as liaison between the university and Mat-Su
- Dispensing/medication administration activities as needed for clinical services
**Teaching (40%)**
- Maintain an exemplary adult general medicine pharmacy practice site for IPPE/APPE education at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center
- Precept a maximum of 10 fourth-year pharmacy (P-4) students for APPEs (clerkships) annually
- Precept a maximum of 10 second/third-year IPPE students annually
- Serve as a site coordinator and assist staff pharmacy preceptors in the orientation for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and other APPE students assigned to Mat-Su
- Provide written/oral evaluation of student progress for an General Medicine and Advanced Institutional Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience IPPE/APPE students as established for course requirements
- One-two 8-week sections of case studies per year - (3 hours per week)
- Provide lectures in the professional Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum

This position is funded partially by the Alaska NSF EPSCoR RII-track 1 research award Interface of Change (IoC) (). This five-year project is focused on connecting climate induced changes of terrestrial fluxes on coastal marine species and communities in the Gulf of Alaska. We are interested in candidates capable of teaching core courses in computing, data science, and cyberinfrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with researchers across disciplines to support IoC goals in addition to establishing a relevant research program in Alaska. For the first three years the expected workload per semester is to teach one three-credit course (20-25%), conduct research (70%) and perform service (5-10%).
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering serves over 300 majors and offers three degrees: A Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. The College of Liberal Arts is looking for non-credit adjunct faculty. Adjunct positions are on a dates needed contract basis. This position is a temporary faculty position for research, approved course development, and other non-teaching, non-credit work. Duties include working on grants awarded through CLA, developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed, or other duties for which you would be hired. Position Details:

PURPOSE: To provide instruction in specific educational content to students at Alaska Christian College.
Description: Provides basic concepts of elementary algebra. These include operations with signed numbers and polynomials, factoring, exponents, radicals, algebraic fractions, solution of linear equations, systems of equations, linear inequalities, quadratic equations, and basic graphing. Geometric formulae will be given on a case-by-case basis as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach class assignments following Alaska Christian College procedures on syllabi and assessment.
Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
Maintain and report grades and embedded assignments promptly.
Compile, administer, and grade examinations or assign this work to others.
Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
Provide instructional and assessment accommodations to those students with documented physical and learning disabilities.
Maintains a clean, safe, and unobstructed workspace.
Participate in other ministry opportunities as agreed upon.
Carries out other duties as assigned.
