Assist in development and design of the capstone portions of the curriculum and individual student doctoral capstone experiences and projects such that they reflect the curriculum design and meet ACOTE standards.
Create and update capstone forms and processes to improve quality and efficiency of student capstone experiences and projects, including management of length, mentorship, and student evaluation.
Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Education to develop, maintain, and support quality student fieldwork and doctoral experiential component affiliation agreements and placements.
In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education, administer a system to maintain the academic programs capstone education materials and records, including but not limited to contracts, memoranda of understanding, student health records, liability protection, evaluations, and policies and procedures.
Utilize computer applications and software programs to facilitate workload.
Support overall program development and initial accreditation as well as ongoing accreditation as instructed and overseen by the Program Director/Chair.
Ensure compliance with capstone education requirements of ACOTE.
This includes participation in the preparation of accreditation documentation and outcome performance assessments.
Provide student clinical plan of study, capstone, and academic advising.
In collaboration with other occupational therapy faculty, coordinate, plan, prepare, and carry out capstone courses in a way which strengthens the ties between didactic, fieldwork, and capstone education.
In collaboration with other occupational therapy faculty, coordinate, plan, prepare, and carry out classroom and lab instruction of additional courses and related activities in areas of expertise, as assigned by the Program Director.
Coordinate and communicate with capstone mentors and students using site visits, emails, telephone calls, virtual meetings, clinical education software programs, and other mediums of communication.
Ensure that capstone mentors are appropriate to supervise and advise students depending on their expertise, focus of the students individual experience and project, and alignment with ACOTE standards.
Provide professional leadership and support for capstone mentors, including OT program faculty, through training and professional development opportunities.
Mediate conflicts, establish specific learning objectives, record attendance, and supervise capstone experiences and projects to ensure that they are adequate and students achieve a satisfactory level of performance.

Allen College seeks applications for adjunct faculty for pediatric nursing clinical for the 2025 fall term (1-2 weekends for the term) at UnityPoint Health - Blank Children's Hospital - Des Moines. In the clinical setting, the adjunct faculty provides education and supervision for the student consistent with established standards of care, as well as, course and program objectives in collaboration with the course faculty. The adjunct clinical faculty is supervised by the lead course faculty. Salary is commensurate with academic credentials, teaching experience, and scholarly work.

The Departments of Architecture and Landscape Architecture in the College of Design and the Community and Economic Development (CED) unit of Extension and Outreach at Iowa State University (ISU) invite applications for multiple positions of tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of Adaptive and Resilient Built and Natural Environments. Exceptional candidates with commensurate experience and proven track record may be considered for tenure and advanced rank of Associate Professor.
Both academic departments and the CED seek qualified candidates for the start date of August 16, 2025, who demonstrate design, research, and engagement excellence in adaptive and resilient regional landscape systems, or with adaptive and resilient building systems, built environments and/or communities. Candidates must have a record of research and/or sustained creative activity or practice in adaptable and resilient built and/or natural environments. Successful candidates will be expected to shape the evolution of the College's approach to adaptable and resilient built and natural systems research, teaching and engagement and the relationship with our broader curriculum in the College of Design and engagement through ISU Extension and Outreach. They also must develop effective collaborations across the University in fields related to adaptable and resilient built and natural environments.
Successful candidates will be expected to establish and sustain a world-class, externally funded research program focused on adaptive and resilient built and natural environments. They should contribute to scholarship, apply research through an active community engagement agenda, teach at graduate and undergraduate levels, and provide service to the institution and profession. Candidates must be prepared to teach design studios and courses related to their expertise and to advance the Cooperative Extension mission. Strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence, and potential for long-term leadership are essential.
All faculty members are expected to exhibit and convey good citizenship within department, college and university activities, interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
For Department of Architecture candidates: MArch or a BArch and Master's Degree
For Department of Landscape Architecture candidates: MLA or Master's Degree
Associate Professor candidates must also meet the university standards for appointment to the rank, including significant scholarship and experience/accomplishments in the candidate's area of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
An outstanding record of teaching, engagement, and research and/or creative activity in the areas of adaptable and resilient built and/or natural environments
Evidence of incorporating a scholarly approach to the socio-cultural, ethical, and economic aspects of adaptive and resilient natural and built environments,
PhD in fields related to adaptive and resilient built and/or natural environments, such as environmental engineering/design, civil engineering, planning, climate/atmosphere science, or a closely related field

The Graduate and Professional Studies Department at Grand View University seeks to fill an on-campus full-time tenure track position for an assistant professor for its new Master of Science in Instructional Design set to launch in Fall 2024. This position will have substantial release time for administrative responsibilities in the Graduate and Professional Studies Department for assessment responsibilities and program management with an external partner.
This faculty member will have all the rights and responsibilities of other full-time faculty at Grand View University in similar leadership positions. The minimum qualifications would be as follows:
An earned doctorate in related field, including graduate level coursework in instructional design.

Ability to work in a team setting, collaborating on projects.
Familiarity with various instructional technologies used in the instructional design process.

DUTIES:
Successful candidates must meet a tenure-track faculty member's teaching, scholarly, and service expectations. These include the following:
Carry a workload of 24 credit hours per academic year; this includes teaching 12 credits hours per academic year, release time for overseeing the Master of Science in Instructional Design, and release time to provide other administrative duties in Graduate and Professional Studies, including managing external partnerships for other programs, assessing other departmental undergraduate majors, working with the Associate Provost to streamline campus online course development processes as well as develop new programs.
Engage in research/scholarly/continuing education activity appropriate to the discipline.
Actively participate in related professional organizations.
Advise up to 25 students.
Engage in university service.
