Qualifications Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must have an MFA/PhD- in relevant fields, preferably in Graphic Design. Proficiency in design software and technologies relevant to contemporary design practice. Three or more years of teaching experience at the college level. Time spent teaching while pursuing terminal degrees counts accordingly. Demonstrated success in teaching, lecturing, or mentoring students, either in an academic or professional setting, preferably in higher education in design programs A record of professional accomplishment, as demonstrated through a portfolio detailing teaching and practice and an active exhibition and project record. Strong understanding of historical and contemporary issues in art and design. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse populations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
