Verigent's client is seeking a qualified Advanced Medical Instructor who will be responsible for delivering both basic and advanced medical instruction for JSOMTC medical courses. In alignment with the most current Program of Instruction (POI) and Performance Work Statement (PWS), the instructor will play a vital role in enhancing the medical skills of participants. The role entails providing instruction and support for various Combat Medic medical courses, including SOF Medical Skills Sustainment Course (SOCMSSC), Special Operations Combat Medic (SOCM) / Special Forces Medic Sergeant (SFMS) Courses, and Special Forces Medical Sergeant Skills Sustainment Course (SFMS3).
Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary teaching staff in nine concurrently run medical curriculum courses. Serve as subject matter experts for technical accuracy and quality of subject matter presentations in the SFMS and SOCM courses. The instructor shall also serve as assistant instructors in classes where they do not have primary teaching responsibility.
• Perform the duties of assistant instructors and technical consultants, and advisors during surgical and live tissue blocks of instruction and demonstration.
• Serve as technical consultant and advisor for the content and quality of all presentations.
• Coordinate classes and prepare all facets of lesson plans in cooperation with the Course Director per Special Warfare Center & School (SWCS) guidance and standards, including developing and implementing practical exercises and learning activities.
• Manage primary teaching responsibility for classes assigned. Teaching methods shall include large-group classroom instruction, small-group instruction, and hands-on training.
• Assemble and maintain all material pertaining to blocks of instruction, including lesson plans, visitor's folder, etc.
• Consult with outside SMEs on technical issues after obtaining Government approval. SMEs may be invited to guest lectures with director approval, but primary teaching responsibility and duty will remain with Advanced Medical Instructor I.
• Assist in the recommendation and evaluation of new or emerging medical technology for the field. The evaluation shall be done within the facility or compound.
• Serve as informal cadre and student mentors in professional medical matters and on military issues as experience allows. They shall perform as consultants to cadre faculty advisors and as student counselors on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of a World Health Organization accredited medical school or American Medical Association/American Academy of Physician Assistants accredited physician assistant program or Certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Complete an approved Instructor Trainer Course and Instructor Developer Course provided by the Government during work hours.
• All instructors shall possess current certifications in the following:
o Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS-I)
o Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
o Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor (ACLS-I)
o Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP) Instructor
o American Heart Association (AHA) Certification. AHA certification must be accomplished within 6 weeks of hiring.
o Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic EMT-P certified IAW NREMT, certified IAW a U.S. jurisdiction OR certified IAW USSOCOM Advanced Tactical Practitioner (ATP) requirements

Summary of Job Duties:
The College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas is soliciting applications for a 9-month 100% appointed tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering. While applications from all areas of biomedical engineering are welcome, we are especially interested in candidates with a research focus in the thematic area of cell and tissue metabolism. These include but are not limited to the development of in vitro models of key physiological systems involved in metabolic regulation, development of imaging tools to evaluate cellular and tissue metabolism, metabolic engineering using gene editing tools, development and use of computational or experimental high content screening systems to understand metabolic dysregulation, and modeling and simulation of metabolic processes involved in disease. The selected candidate will exhibit a desire to teach at the undergraduate level but may also be required to teach graduate courses. The selected candidate will help develop and expand existing programs, concentrations, and minors. The candidate will become a member of the Healthcare Administration faculty that serves approximately 200 undergraduate healthcare majors.
