The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for several tenure-track and tenured faculty positions to add to IU's research leadership in Cybersecurity , at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels. We seek exceptional researchers and educators whose work advances the science and practice of cybersecurity to join the Department of Computer Science or the Department of Informatics at the Luddy School. We welcome applicants in all areas of cybersecurity. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work enhances the School's strengths in areas such as systems and software security, data privacy, human-centered security and privacy, and trustworthy AI. This includes, but is not limited to, research on trusted computing and system vulnerabilities, secure mobile and cloud platforms, the design of usable, inclusive security and privacy technologies, and secure and reliable AI systems. Successful applicants will join a collaborative academic community with strong cross-disciplinary ties in computing, engineering, law, policy, and health. The Luddy School is home to internationally recognized centers in security and privacy, and offers a supportive environment for impactful research, teaching, and mentorship. Faculty will contribute to our strong academic programs in cybersecurity, including our multi-disciplinary collaborations across campus such as the BS in Cybersecurity and Global Policy and the MS in Cybersecurity Risk Management programs. Qualified faculty may also collaborate with IU Research and the Indiana University Applied Research Center ( ARC ) in Bloomington. ARC brings together government, military, industry, and academic partners to address complex national security challenges. Within its secure facilities, researchers work on critical areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems, microelectronics, autonomous systems, advanced materials, quantum computing, and other emerging technologies. These 10‐month faculty appointments have a preferred start date of August 1, 2026, although an earlier or later start date is negotiable. For example: Contribute to translational research programs integrating proteomics to identify clinically actionable protein biomarkers and therapeutic targets; Apply lipidomics to uncover lipid-based mechanisms and signatures relevant to disease progression and treatment response; Employ glycomics to support the discovery of glycan alterations with diagnostic and prognostic value in human health in virology/immunology and/or large molecule biotherapeutics; Leverage metabolomics to translate metabolic profiles into insights for precision medicine and patient stratification. The goal is the application of omics or multi-omics pipelines that bridge bench research with bedside applications.
