The William & Mary School of Education invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant or AssociateProfessor positions in Counselor Education beginning in Fall 2026. Responsibilities of this Position
The Assistant/AssociateProfessor of Counselor Education is a 9-month position with summer teaching opportunities. The successful candidate will be committed to advancing clinical mental health counseling research, excellence in counselor training, and remaining active in professional service. The essential duties of the position include developing and maintaining a record of research and scholarship, teaching master's and doctoral level courses in counselor education, advising students, including Ph.D. students, in their dissertation process, providing supervision, and providing service to the department, university, and counseling profession.

An earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-Accredited program by August 2026.

Clinical psychology, service activity, or mentoring of trainees whether they be students, postdoctoral fellows, scientists and/or early-career faculty. The incumbent would be expected to engage in teaching or service efforts sufficient for promotion if applicable and participate in professional and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.

The Counselor Education Program at Miami University is a new online master's degree program for Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. Successful applicants would be expected to maintain a substantial research agenda; teach core courses in the program as well as in either specialty areas, demonstrate effectiveness as an instructor in an online environment; serve as a contributing member of the faculty team; advise graduate students; and provide service to the program, department, and university.
