The successful candidate with partner with world-class pediatric dental faculty members to provide advanced anesthesia and pain management for dental and oral surgeries. Clinically, the practice environment includes over 30,000 visits per year across 2 clinics and 4 operating room sites. We enjoy a busy level 1 trauma service and are strongly committed to excellence in resuscitation procedures and team-based work.
The division is internationally recognized for clinical and educational excellence in; Management of hospitalized patients, non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic behavior guidance, procedural sedation and practice simulation-based training of residents. The division is comprised of seven (7) primary full-time faculty, all of whom are involved in patient care. Additionally, the faculty has three (3) regular part-time faculty. The dentist anesthesiologist will be providing care in the operating room and in-office general anesthesia suite for our pediatric dentists. The division serves a two-fold primary mission:
Care of hospitalized, fragile, and immunocompromised patients that includes those with special needs. Regional safety net clinic serving all underserved populations in neighboring counties in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, as well as across the country and globe.

A significant responsibility includes teaching as required, and training fellows, residents, and students.

Our General Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship has a total of nine General Cardiology Fellows and our Interventional Cardiology Fellowship trains one Fellow each year.
Responsibilities:
This clinical position includes duties consisting of weekly outpatient and imaging sessions, up to 8 weeks attending on the inpatient cardiology consult and critical care services, precepting fellow(s) clinic and opportunities for teaching and academic development, which includes presenting and attendance at appropriate conferences, meetings, and service committees. A significant responsibility includes teaching as required, and training fellows, residents, and students.
Weekend and/or holiday service as an attending physician on the inpatient service commensurate with peers.
Conduct independent research in line with the goals of the Department of Medicine. The research focus is flexible and tailored to the interests of the applicant and the desired Faculty Track: Research Track (Clinical Science), Clinical Scholar Track, or Clinical Educator Track
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution or a comparable foreign medical degree
Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
Completion of an ACGME accredited Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease
Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Cardiovascular Medicine, and preferably certification by The

The successful applicant should have completed three years in an ACGME accredited Cardiovascular Fellowship and should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine with strong interest and expertise in non-invasive imaging including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and nuclear studies.
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Toledo currently provides clinical services to the community of NW Ohio and SE Michigan for all types of cardiovascular diseases. An important aspect of the mission of the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is educating medical students, residents, and fellows through advanced training programs in the core disciplines of non-invasive and invasive cardiology. The department offers a wide range of cardiac testing, diagnostic and treatment services at our state-of-the-art cardiovascular facility.
