JOB SUMMARY:
The Center for Environmental Diagnostics and Bioremediation (CEDB) at the University of West Florida (UWF) in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications for a faculty position (Position #110640), with an anticipated start date of August 2026. This position is a full-time, 12-month tenured appointment with rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The successful applicant will be expected to assume the directorship of CEDB in August 2027. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students is a critical component of the university's objectives and evaluation of candidates will include prior teaching and mentoring successes. Candidates are expected to bring and maintain an established research program that complements and enhances existing research programs at UWF and CEDB, and be expected to teach one course per semester. The Director is a member of the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering leadership team, working collaboratively to advance the strategic goals of the University, College, and Center.
CEDB is a collaborative interdisciplinary research center at UWF with an emphasis on water
quality and habitat issues. Tenure, promotion and teaching will be through the relevant

POSITION OVERVIEW
JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Psychology at the University of West Florida (UWF), in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications for a fulltime, 9-month Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in clinical/counseling psychology. We seek a colleague who is passionate about undergraduate and graduate teaching, committed to mentoring students in applied settings, and eager to contribute to our mission of preparing skilled, compassionate mental health professionals. While the area of specialization is open, preference will be given to applicants with expertise in clinical child and/or adolescence psychology or related areas that complement our existing curriculum. The salary for this in-person position will be commensurate with experience.
Primary responsibilities include:
1. Teaching clinical/counseling psychology courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, with a teaching load of four three-credit courses in both the fall and spring semesters.
2. Supervising graduate capstone experiences (clinical internships).
3. Providing service to the department, college, university, and profession.
The successful candidate will teach both clinically oriented undergraduate courses (e.g., Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Personality) and graduate courses (e.g., Ethics in Counseling, Pre-Practicum, Practicum, Internship, and/or courses in their area of expertise) as departmental needs dictate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements for this position include having earned a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, from an accredited institution. The applicant must hold, or obtain within the first year of employment, a license to practice as a Psychologist in the State of Florida.
