Primary Purpose: Provide instruction to Pharm.D. and Graduate students in the College of Pharmacy. Adjunct faculty provide instruction in the classroom, laboratory, or on-line, and assist students in their learning process by utilizing all appropriate College resources, materials, facilities, and educational technologies available to complement the teaching and learning process. *This position is not eligible for continuing contract. Job Category: Exempt Hiring Range: Pay Basis: Subject to Grant Funding? No Essential Job Functions: 1. Prepares and delivers instruction to Pharm.D. students and/or graduate students. 2. Facilitate activities in the classroom or laboratory. 3. Act as a liaison between the students and the faculty course coordinator. 4. Provide and facilitate examinations. May include assigning grades consistent with course requirements. 5. Teaches or facilitates classes based on varied schedules to accommodate diverse student needs and to meet the expectations of the College as assigned by the designated faculty course coordinator. 6. Follows the course curriculum as assigned. 7. Prepares assignments. 8. Evaluates student performance and learning. 9. Maintains an active classroom environment conducive to student learning and success. 10. Adjuncts working in the laboratories may also engage in patient or healthcare professional role play, small group discussions, and skill facilitation. 11. Required to complete NSU mandatory training. For example, HIPAA compliance, technology training, Canvas training, etc. 12. Performs other related duties as assigned by either the Chair, Assistant Dean, or faculty course coordinator. Performs various non-instructional duties including taking daily attendance, among others. Monitors participant progress through regular formal and informal assessment. Participates in committee work, family activities, and sponsored organizational activities.
