The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) is inviting applications for its Craig M. Cogut Visiting Professorship in Latin American and Caribbean Studies to be taken up during the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Craig M. Cogut Visiting Professorship brings leading scholars from Latin America and the Caribbean to Brown University to teach and conduct research. Visiting Professors are based at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. Cogut Professors meet regularly with undergraduate and graduate students, give presentations on campus through CLACS or affiliated units, and either teach one undergraduate course on Latin America and/or the Caribbean per semester or to participate fully as a co-teacher in an already existent course at Brown. The Craig M. Cogut Visiting Professorship provides a salary, an optional medical insurance package, a modest research fund, and administrative assistance. Appointments are possible for one or two semesters.
For the academic year 2025-26, applications will be accepted in all fields and geographical areas of interest but we especially welcome applications from scholars whose work focuses on the history of collections and collecting in Latin America (museums, libraries, etc.) as well as researchers working on the Amazon River region from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives (anthropology, political science, literature, etc.).
Preference will be given to individuals currently working in Latin America or the Caribbean, but we will also consider US-based applicants. Academic applicants must hold a Ph.D. in any discipline of the humanities and social sciences. In exceptional circumstances, we may consider applicants with professional qualifications and extensive experience in academia, the arts, and the public service. This position is not open to junior faculty.

The successful candidate will teach courses related to health care administration and contribute to the program's ongoing development, housed within the School of Business. This role also involves scholarly research, advising students, curriculum development and contributing to service initiatives within the department, the college, and the broader health care community.
The Health Care Administration Program (HCA) at Rhode Island College provides Baccalaureate-level and Masters level education and training for students considering careers in the health care industry. The program is specifically targeted for those pursuing supervisory and management positions and/or preparation for graduate education. The program represents a unique collaboration between the School of Management and the School of Nursing with significant contributions from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development.
This four-year, 120-credit interdisciplinary program was crafted based upon accrediting body standards, best practices of existing programs around the nation, and the recommendations of experts, and utilizes courses from 18 different majors. The HCA major also incorporates an internship and an integrative capstone experience. For their restricted electives, students are offered choices within gerontology, human resource management, informatics, management foundations, and wellness. There is also a minor in HCA.

The Department of Journalism and Public Relations at the University of Rhode Island is hiring an Associate Professor of Public Relations. The department seeks a teacher-scholar to join the dynamic faculty in the Harrington School of Communication and Media to begin Fall 2025. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and a record of scholarly publications to join the faculty at the rank of Associate Professor. The faculty member will have the opportunity to teach advanced courses in public relations as well as required lower-level undergraduate courses. We aim to find a scholar with expertise in areas such as short-form video content, CSR/CSA, health/risk communication, diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ), public diplomacy, international PR, internal/employee PR, or non-profit public relations. In addition to teaching and scholarship, faculty will engage in advising and service. Applicants with experience advising a PRSSA chapter or an honor society are encouraged to apply.
