DAY-TO-DAY
This part-time dancing position works every Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
As a Country Swing Dancer - Dance Teacher, you engage your audience and get the party going! You are a fun and energetic person who leads weekly swing dance lessons for all dancing levels. Creative and flexible, you plan classes and brainstorm moves to teach, occasionally learning new steps to keep your lessons fresh. You then teach the moves to our customers, repeating steps as necessary to help them stick in our guests' minds.
Always friendly and positive, you regularly interact with the dancers to ensure everyone is having fun and learning the moves. When appropriate, you offer individual advice to help shape every customer into a real swing dancer. You love dancing and find joy in teaching others how to groove!

Openings for a 2025-2026 school year Social Dance Instructor in our 7th - 9th grade Ambassador Dance classes. Ambassador dance classes meet once a week, with a social dance instructor joining with a certified PE teacher or Leadership Development classroom teacher to cover the materials provided. The curriculum is set and supported by resources to help instructors effectively teach the skills and concepts. The right candidate will bring their own teaching style and personality to help engage students in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
Classes are taught during the regular school day, which runs from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Each instructor's specific class schedule will be determined based on their availability and program needs. Class openings are currently at our high school campuses located in Draper (431 W 11913 South) and West Valley (3636 W 3100 S)
Students are taught American-style bronze and silver level social dance steps. Core dances include cha-cha, waltz, swing, and foxtrot, with occasional exposure to bachata, salsa, two-step, and polka.
The dance curriculum also incorporates lessons in social civility, kindness, and skill-based manners related to social interactions. Students should leave the class with a sense of accomplishment, belonging, and overall well-being.

FAQ
I've never taught before, am I qualified to teach?
We hire industry professionals and help them learn how to be good teachers. Our project-based curriculum means fewer lectures and more hands-on practice. Instructors must have at least 4 years of industry experience and a bachelor's degree in a tech related field. An additional 4 years of outstanding experience and contributions to the field may be substituted for a formal degree.
Do I have to develop the curriculum?
You will use curriculum that has been developed and refined by previous Neumont instructors. We expect that you will share your individual perspective and experiences with the students to supplement the formal curriculum.
What is the process to get started?
Besides submitting an application and resume, all instructors will go through a formal application process which includes a short teaching demonstration. We will verify your work experience and educational credentials.
