Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Technology. This position effectively teaches 12 hours of undergraduate Civil Engineering Technology courses per semester from an approved curriculum, with an assigned schedule; includes curriculum development to move the program to the next level, mentoring and advising Civil Engineering Technology students. Develops externally-funded research/education programs with publishable results; participates in SSU recruitment and retention initiatives. Works closely with students inside and outside of class; maintains required office hours to provide assistance to students individually and in small groups. Advises students in matters related to academics, attendance and behavior. Collaborates with other faculty and industry to ensure that the curriculum reflects current standards and industry needs. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is required. The EGYM Trainer is responsible for providing one-on-one orientation to members on the EGYM circuit. The EGYM trainer should also meet with the member after the orientation to share imbalances and share recommendations on additional training needs and share personal training opportunities available to the member.
