You will be an integral part of DRS' new product and technology development efforts in infrared sensors. You will interface with other team members representing a wide range of disciplines, including material science, process engineering, device fabrication, test engineering, and system design. You will work with other scientists to model the performance of current and novel device architectures for a variety of characteristics and aid in the optimization of device designs that both meet aggressive performance targets and are manufacturable. To that end, you will work in a team with other scientists and engineers including fabrication specialists, product/process engineers, and test and systems engineers to optimize device designs for yield and manufacturability. The Levi Lab is looking for a Research Scientist with an Osteosarcoma focus to join the team who is willing to commit to at least two years. This role also requires routine reporting to the Vytelle laboratory nearest the employee's residence to collect necessary supplies. This laboratory will be designated as the employee's home base. Travel between the employee's residence and the home base is considered standard commuting and is therefore not eligible for mileage reimbursement. Mileage reimbursement will apply to business-related travel from the home base to satellite locations, on-farm sites, or other approved destinations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to handle long days (16-hour days) Ability to drive long distances (8-10 hours) Ability to sit for long periods of time. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field of study Industry knowledge and a strong passion for IVF and/or eagerness to learn and commit.
