Lumerical, tidy3d, etc.). * Ability to leverage electronic design automation (EDA) to execute performance analysis on photonic integrated circuits and transfer design to artwork appropriate for design submission. * Strong understanding of quantum theory and quantum effects and their control/generation through nonlinear or active photonics. * Understanding of subsystem integration (e.g. Tx, Rx, Processor, Memory) into quantum photonic systems and system analysis. * Ability to accurately judge efficacy of quantum approaches to various mobility applications. * Wide experience in design and setup of photonic lab benches and experimental automation to ensure measurement repeatability and minimize measurement time. * Experience with rapid problem investigation, root-cause investigation, and negotiations with stakeholders * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. * Professional experience making clear and concise presentations, both written and oral, with consideration to international audiences. * Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
