What success looks like in this role:

You will be successful in this role if you have:
• Computer Science/EE undergraduate degree required • No experience required, Intern/COOP experience preferred • Knowledge of Engineering Concepts • Ability to work in a global team, with multiple stakeholders across functions, business units and geographical regions • Ability to communicate task information with clients • Team Player • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good command over English language.

ASSOCIATE SYSTEMS ENGINEER

The Associate Systems Engineer provides on-site technical support for incidents and requests reported to them. Responsibilities include initial assessment, triage, research, and resolution of first-level cases; commonly regarding the use of application software products and/or infrastructure components. The Associate Systems Engineer is responsible for collecting and analyzing information received through a customer conversation, support tools, and additional service resources if needed. Problems beyond the scope of their ability or responsibility are resolved by engaging other IT service resources.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


Analyzes and resolves incidents/requests regarding the use of application software or hardware. Logs and tracks incidents/requests from identification through resolution in incident management software. Communicate with other service resources involved in resolution to ensure incidents are resolved, requests are fulfilled, and customer communication is complete. Engages other service desk resources or appropriate service resources to resolve incidents that are beyond the scope of their ability or responsibility. Documents resolutions and internal procedures & updates self-help and staff knowledge bases. Creates a positive customer support experience and builds strong relationships through engaged listening and understanding, problem-solving, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and maintaining a consummately professional attitude. Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of employee information.

Competency in Windows OS, Mac OS, Gmail, MS Office Suite, AS400, Warehouse Management software Experience supporting Warehouse / Distribution Center hardware with Laptops, Desktops, Thin Clients Familiarity with Symbol / Zebra RF Guns, Zebra Wireless Printers, Zebra Thermal Printers Understanding Network terminology as well as how devices on a network communicate. Basic User & Security Group administration through Active Directory. Willingness to learn continuously evolving company & industry-specific applications, technology, and terminology. Demonstrated ability & desire to provide first-rate customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team player. Excellent organizational & time management skills with strong attention to detail. Proven analytical & problem-solving skills.

Responsible for providing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems.

Manage engineering subcontractors through regular interactions, development of technical documentation and coordinating design review activities.

Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Assist with the development of top-level specification and manage requirement flow down to lower level specifications.
Develop CONOPS and Use Cases Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Manage risk and opportunity with internal and external customers; work with technical team to identify, mitigate and close program risks. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interact, anticipate and respond to customer needs. Work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing situations


Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.


Preferred/Additional Skills
:

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other disciplines (Digital, RF, Mechanical, Software, I&T, Manufacturing, etc). 2+ years' experience in Requirements managements, traceability, and verification with IBM Rational DOORS Sub-System Architecture development to meet project requirements within project cost budget and schedule timelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance. Ability to lead teams in the role of Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) over a pursuit, proposal, program or internal research and development (IRAD) activity. Ability to interface with Customer organization to drive understanding, agreement, closure though formal documentation of the technical baseline. Guide the technical baseline to the execution team through documentation oversight of lower level specifications, informal working group and peer sessions as well as formal design reviews. C4ISR Systems and Operations experience Communication Systems experience Knowledge of SATCOM systems, fiber optic media converter systems, data links, RF systems, and Modems. Experience with Government contracting, proposal writing, and business acquisition process Knowledgeable in the application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) process and tools
