We are searching for an Associate Avionics Test Engineer , who will contribute to the conceptual design, analysis, development, and test of complex avionics used on military, commercial and NASA satellites. The products of Moog generally are unique for each customer. Therefore, most new applications require a special, tailored design, even though adaptation of existing designs always should be considered where appropriate. The Avionics Engineer will operate as part of a design/development team, which includes other department engineers. You may be called upon to coordinate the work of designers, technicians, procurement specialists and others who assist in specific assignments.

In the early stages of a new program, the project team will consult with the customer, establish the product's functional specification, conceive of potential hardware solutions to the problem, often through extensive trade studies, and then create a successful technical proposal. This phase is critical in that it establishes the basis for future design, and for contract negotiations. Under the technical direction of the team's lead engineer, the Avionics Engineer will then contribute to the evolution of the conceptual design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing.

Required: Bachelors of Science in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering degree.

To fulfill the demands of design and development of new products the individual must show self-starting instincts, an aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly learn advanced design and/or analysis techniques. A basic knowledge of closed loop control systems, electrical hardware design, and good communication skills are also desirable. Emphasis will be given to course studies related to digital, analog and power circuit design along with Hardware Design Languages and Programmable Logic.

Job Description Summary:

Analog Devices is seeking an ATE Semiconductor Test Engineer to support products through the full product life cycle with a focus on Automotive battery management products. Applicant must be goal oriented, self-driven, have high professional standards and be able to work individually and as part of a team. Understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts is required.

Duties will include: Design of component-level circuits for precision parametric measurements. Development of automated test system solutions on analog and mixed-signal automatic test equipment. Involvement in all phases of product development including design for testability, test hardware and software design, debug, characterization, and release to manufacturing. Responsibility for planning and tracking project schedules and resources and documenting all phases of project development.

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or closely related field. Strong programming skills. Experience with C, C++ or VBA. Component-level circuit design skills. Good hardware and software trouble-shooting skills. Proficiency with statistical methods and data analysis tools. Working knowledge of common lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, DVM) Familiarity with digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, scan, etc) is a plus.

About the Role


Software Associate Test Engineer is responsible for verifying and validating high-end automotive infotainment systems against functional requirements of the program, which includes smoke test, System test, Functional testing, Vehicle testing, and also responsible for required customer issues debug/interactions and Defect reporting.


What You Will Do



Perform software testing of assigned products according to required standards and specifications. Interpret customer complaints into testable performance criteria. Work with a team of engineers validating/qualifying software for all functional areas in an infotainment product domain (domains include Tuner, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Connectivity, Audio, Vehicle Interface, Voice Recognition, Systems, Navigation) Create test cases based on customer requirements, ensure complete testability, traceability, and interfacing with development engineers. Perform In-Vehicle and bench testing of the above-mentioned domains. Execute test cases, capture logs, and capture defects in the test management tools. Execute smoke test, System test, Functional testing, Vehicle testing, and work on customer issues. Perform issue reproduction & verify fixes.

What You Need


Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent 1 year of experience in embedded software development or testing Experience with executing Automated test scripts Experience with Interoperability (IOP) Testing Working knowledge of embedded software systems Experience with reviewing software requirements Experience writing test cases (acceptance, functional, non-functional, stress, FURPS, etc.) Working knowledge of software development tools (debuggers, emulators, compilers, etc.). Capable of reporting and reproducing software defects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Test Management tools, like IBM ALM, Jira, Rally, HP ALM, etc.
