New York Agricultural Stewardship Associate (Associate) supports and grows programs in New York state that assist farmland owners and farmers transitioning to or increasing adoption of regenerative farming practices on owned or rented land.
Position Summary
The New York Agricultural Stewardship Associate (Associate) is primarily responsible for assisting the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) New York Assistant Conservationist for Field Operations in Cooperstown, NY for providing targeted technical assistance and support. In addition, the Associate is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with farmers and non-operating farmland owners as well as state and federal agencies, universities, agricultural service providers, conservation leaders, and others to promote and implement strategies that engage farmers in adopting sound practices to protect water quality, respond to the growing impact of extreme weather events, and achieve other environmental benefits from well-managed farmland, while maintaining farm viability.

Build relationships with farmers and farmland owners, including historically underserved producers, to promote conservation practices and connect them with NRCS financial assistance programs.
Conduct outreach through phone, email, and farm visits to assess resource concerns and recommend conservation strategies that align with landowner goals.
Assist NRCS field office staff guiding farmers through NRCS program participation, including conservation planning, contract development and management, and implementation support.
Provide technical assistance in the design, layout, and installation of conservation practices; identify barriers to implementation and connect producers with additional resources as needed.
Track and maintain accurate records of farmer engagement, program files, contracts, and follow-up actions.
Support coordination with NRCS staff and partner planners to streamline service delivery and ensure effective program execution.
Participate in internal team meetings, professional trainings, and NRCS field leadership sessions as appropriate.
Communicate the benefits of soil health and conservation practices, highlighting impacts on water quality, resilience, and climate mitigation.

Associates Degree and 3 years Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing experience in a healthcare related setting, (preferably acute care) or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation/equipment and sterile processing essential. Previous supervisory and administrative experience required. Certification as a sterile processing technician strongly preferred. If not certified as a sterile processing technician, will be required to obtain within 18 months of hire date.

Requirements
Sales Associate Duties/Responsibilities
Customer Service including carry-outs and assisting customers throughout the store
Climb store use ladders and place/retrieve merchandise on the top shelf of fixtures
Promote Best Rewards Program
Operate cash registers
Cut chain, cable, rope, tubing, glass, plexiglass, and carpet
Promote the “build the sale” concept
Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, downstocking/overstocking

As a Shop Associate, you are accountable for the tasks required to support our jobsites and fabrication shops. You will be responsible for upholding safety standards and personnel, while maintaining effective and efficient processes for tooling, procurement, material handling, and quality checks of our tools, you'll provide complete field support and on time deliveries leading to reduced overall project costs. Our fleet of vehicles ranges from pickups, box trucks, stake trucks, and more.

Provide tools and materials to various locations within the region while maintaining high levels of safety and professionalism
Physical ability to load and unload cargo
Make on-time deliveries to and from various jobsites and other destinations in the safest and most efficient manner possible with no delay to the field employees or customers
Confirm all loaded items to ensure shop order is complete and verify proper attachment of all items before vehicle is started and you leave the shop/jobsite
Assist in shop order process of pulling and returning tools for job sites by checking safety and accessories of each tool for proper operation, and keeping inventory for future jobs
Maintain cube vans by unloading, inspecting and restocking for state of readiness and quick response jobs
Execute minor shipping/receiving duties as assigned by Tool Shop Manager
Assist at warehouse, and sheet metal shop when needed
Building & grounds duties should be competed when necessary, including, landscaping, snow shoveling, garbage changes, dumpster pickups and storing gas bottles properly
Experience & Competencies:
High school degree or equivalent
18+ years old
Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and adhere to safe driving rules and all safety requirements
Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Strong communication skills; oral, written, and computer
Must have integrity, enthusiasm and willingness to represent the company in the most professional, positive manner.
The estimated compensation range for this role is $18/hourly. This range is based on several factors, including individual education, qualifications, training, prior work experience, and work location.
