Associated Material Handling Industries, Inc. was founded by Ed Allen in Chicago, IL on December 8, 1960.
The founding of Associated Bank dates to 1970, when three strong banks in Northeast Wisconsin—Kellogg Citizens Bank of Green Bay, Manitowoc Savings Bank and First National Bank of Neenah—formed a powerful alliance.
On March 9, 1978, Associated partnered with Raymond to become the exclusive Raymond Lift Truck Dealer in the Chicagoland market.
In 1984 Associated acquired Allied Handling Equipment Company which expanded their Midwest market coverage to include Central Illinois and Iowa.
It was in September 1992 when leaders of our founding banks—Kellogg Bank, First National Bank of Neenah and Manitowoc Savings Bank—adopted the Associated Bank name and tree symbol logo.
Another key event in our history was the merger of First Financial and Associated Bank in 1997, retaining the name of the latter.
To stay ahead of growing customer demands, Associated expanded their services in the 2000’s to include Fleet Management and Engineering & Design Solutions.
