The Development Operations Supervisor position is housed in the Strategy, Development, & Organizational Advancement Division (30 employees) within the Learning and Brand Development Unit (15 employees) which is responsible for strategic development of learning, products, and practices that strengthen our organizational culture, brand identity, and ability to fulfill our promise. Specifically, the position will be part of the Workforce Management and Development Team (7 employees). The overall Division nurtures organizational health and facilitates innovation by building responsive and proactive evaluation, strategy, and system solutions grounded in data, best practice, and collaborative partnerships.
Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Learning & Development Operations Manager, the Development Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing and improving the Academy Service Provider Experience across its full lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to schedule management, engagement, development, and exit. This position leads centralized process improvements and ensures alignment with the Academy System of Practice. This role supervises staff supporting service providers, provides training, evaluation, and coaching, and creates a sense of community for our service providers as they are an extension of Academy staff. This position drives continuous quality improvement through data analysis and evaluation, supports operational systems and documentation protocols, and collaborates with internal teams to enhance workflows and technology platforms.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
This is a 40-hour-a-week, full-time position, working M-F from 8:00 to 4:30 p.m., based on contract funding subject to annual renewal. The position is subject to intermittent overnight travel and work shifts outside normal business hours, including weekends and evenings. This is a hybrid position, requires you to live in California and has the flexibility to be fully remote, or hybrid through the use of hoteling office space (Academy Riverside or San Diego office locations).
Note: some duties may include working with and/or exposure to sensitive/traumatic topics or material dealing with child abuse, abuse against older adults and adults with disabilities, and/or issues and scenarios related to mental health, substance use, or racism.

OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT OF THE ACADEMY SERVICE PROVIDER EXPERIENCE (25%)
Lead and drive centralized process improvements to the Academy Service Provider Experience (lifecycle), with a strong focus on maintaining fidelity to the System of Practice.
Oversee rolling recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of service providers by collaborating with the Development Operations Coordinator and Technical Administrative Coordinator to advance effective practices that support inclusive hiring and create fair and equitable promotion strategies.
Develop and strengthen healthy relationships with service providers (SPs), engage them as Academy staff, and nurture a sense of community within our SP pool.

Drive continuous quality improvement (CQI) of annual service provider needs assessments and evaluation processes including designing/redesigning needs assessment and evaluation tools to align with the Academy System of Practice.
Analyze data from service provider needs assessments, end-of-day training surveys, observations, feedback from internal/external partners, and evaluations to inform development and/or networking needs and opportunities for our service providers.

The CWDS Training Operations Team is responsible for the management of all training deliveries, both in person and virtually. HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR WORK

When hosting a training, shifts are typically 8-hour commitments with work occurring M-F from 8:00 to 4:30 p.m You will only host trainings in the county that you are hired to cover. The county this position serves is Los Angeles county. The candidate is expected to provide their own transportation to and from the county's work location. This position is based on contract funding subject to annual renewal. The position is subject to intermittent overnight travel and work shifts outside of normal business hours including weekends and evenings. This position is based in California with a regular on-site work location of Riverside, CA.

The UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) and UCLA Health is recruiting a full-time faculty Clinical Pathologist (assistant to full professor) with the skills and interest to develop a strong academic career focused in clinical pathology/laboratory medicine. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with expertise in hematology and coagulation to lead the Hematology and Coagulation Laboratory. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have experience in developing coagulation profiles and providing consultations in the diagnosis and management of patients with bleeding and thrombotic disorders. Successful applicants will be expected to have a record of academic achievement through independent research and scholarly publications. The successful candidate must have an MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Clinical Pathology. Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of California is required.
This individual will have a collaborative administrative and academic relationship with other faculty within the division of Laboratory Medicine, and will provide clinical consultations across UCLA Health, including high complexity in-patient care at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and Santa Monica UCLA Hospital. This course provides entrepreneurs, business managers, and international trade professionals with key business and cultural insights to do business within the mainstream U.S. market. Topics include an overview of the U.S. economy, regional and national demographics and cultural dynamics, business customs, framework of the U.S. legal system, marketing strategies, and negotiating tactics.
Job Description
Instructors teach students to understand the fundamentals, technical aspects, and concepts of the subject matter. More importantly they prepare students to utilize this understanding practically in the workforce. In addition to teaching proficiency in technical matters, instructors utilize case studies and real-life examples wherever possible to help students take their understanding from the pages of the textbook into the work of the real world. To accomplish this, instructors foster a collaborative, inclusive learning environment developed to support the success of all UCLA Extension students coming from a wide range of educational, personal, and professional backgrounds. We are looking for instructors who can primarily teach in-person in our Westwood or Downtown locations.
Instructor Duties:
* Develop and/or update course syllabus in consultation with the UCLA Extension Program Director as assigned using approved syllabus template
* Prepare and deliver course materials and learning assessments in assigned format (in-person, online or hybrid)
* Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as the course support platform for in-person courses and as the delivery platform for online and hybrid courses
* Communicate teaching objectives and specific learning outcomes to students and clearly outline the grading policies for the course
* Evaluate student achievement of specific learning outcomes and assign grades
* Post final student grades to the transcript system in a timely manner no later than 2 weeks after the last date of course meeting
* Respond to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner
* Communicate with Program Director, Program Representatives and Online Course Managers in a timely manner
* Stay current regarding the professional body of knowledge in the field of practice
* Participate in required orientations and instructor training programs
* Complete required administrative tasks in a timely manner including: completing all hiring paperwork; submitting updated quarterly syllabus; posting bio and photo on the UCLA Extension website; signing quarterly contract; ordering required texts; communicating AV and classroom needs.
* Employ culturally competent teaching methodologies in the classroom inclusive of both domestic and international student populations
* Respond to student inquiries about final grades and consult with Program Director as needed
* Allow students to review their final exams/papers for up to 13 months following the last class session

At the level of Principal EEG Technologist, it is expected that the individual show self-direction and initiative with minimal supervision. A high level of skill with the basic elements of EEG and EP is expected. Artifact detection/elimination skills and advanced techniques should be mastered and applied independently at this level, such as intra-operative monitoring of complex procedures or long-term epilepsy monitoring with depth electrodes.
The technologist should be able to describe EEG and EP findings to junior faculty in a review-style format. The Principal EEG Technologist must be flexible to learn new and advanced protocols as needed. Principal EEG Technologists should serve as resources for junior staff. The Principal EEG Technologist is expected to take responsibility for certain specific aspects of laboratory organization and serve as the lead lab team member in those individual areas of responsibility. The Principal EEG Technologist will maintain national registration credentials in the areas of technology relevant to each area in which the technologist works. The Principal EEG Technologist will acquire continuing education units as recommended by the national accrediting body in the field and keep up to date with changes and advances in the field.
