In 2008, members from various chapters formalized this grassroots movement and Student Veterans of America was born at the very first NatCon in Chicago.
Since SVA’s founding in 2008, over one million veterans have returned home to pursue a postsecondary degree or certificate using VA education benefits.
Fall 2017 Internship Applications Are Now AvailableThe Fall 2017 Internship Application is now open! SPOHP’s semester-long academic internship is available to graduate and undergraduate students for credit as an introduction to the field of oral history.
As of April 2018, the Veterans History Project no longer accepts narratives from World War II-era civilians.
SVA welcomed over 2,500 to its largest ever NatCon on January 3-5, 2020 in Los Angeles.
