Opportunity for upward mobility and advancement opportunities across AssuredPartners! What You'll Do: Client Support Lead meetings with clients, including meetings at client locations. Responsible for providing comprehensive client support and acting as the main client contact for the book of business. Effectively manage difficult client communications, including loss of coverage, claim denials, unfavorable underwriting, and other challenging renewal scenarios. Account Management Negotiate and sell lines of insurance to clients to round out accounts as appropriate. May design client insurance and risk management plans as assigned and directed by Agency management. Own all audit, review, and claims processes for assigned business books. Analyze data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to the client's needs and circumstances of the presentation. Insurance Expertise Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Proficient in underwriting practices; able to manage underwriting relationships. Fluent in the client's industry and current events that can modify the coverages needed. Review changes in carrier offerings and policies and relay information to the larger service team. Leadership Mentor or formally direct the work of more junior team members, including Account Coordinators, Account Managers, and Senior Account Managers. Facilitate and collaborate with the account team on the agency's renewal strategy. Client Strategy Provide clients with Insurance Coverage reviews and review methods of handling risks. Identify and explain gaps in coverage. Work with the producer to write new business. Attend carrier functions to learn new coverage options and risk assessment strategies. Conducted book reviews to determine which accounts needed an in-person risk assessment or client meeting to support agency retention. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: 3+ years of related experience and/or training preferred or demonstrated skills listed below. Current Property and Casualty license required Comprehensive knowledge of available commercial line coverages based on business classification and informed on industry trends and client retention strategies. Highly developed problem-solving and solution-design skills; strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills and mentoring and guidance of more junior employees. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software. Skilled in using agency management software with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.     Responsible for overall supervision of a claims department by managing the team, ensuring the client's needs are met, and all claims are being managed in accordance with Keenan's policies and procedures. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability. What You'll Do Maintain a high level of high client retention and satisfaction. Review and approve all investigation, subrosa and litigation referrals. Review and approve all settlements over $50,000 and under $100,000. Review and approve all reserve changes over $75,000 and under $200,000. Maintain an active diary on all open claims reserved at or above $75,000. Review and maintain diary on all cumulative traumas, joint coverage, serious & willful, 132a claims and subrogation claims. Review and pre-approve all delays and denials. Review all newly set up indemnity claims for adherence to Best Practices. Conduct internal quarterly audits of all Claims Examiners. Evaluate and recognize office staffing needs. Update staff on labor code/legislation/case law. Update staff on insured/self-insured procedures. Handle the prevention of penalties/maintenance of logs. Provide timely excess claims reporting management to the Reinsurance Manager. Oversee Claims Examiners, Claims Assistants and other designated personnel. Provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Provide training, leadership and guidance to the staff. Oversee and attend claims reviews. Handle special projects as assigned. Travel as required. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Senior Claims Examiner required and two (2) years-experience as a Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor, preferred. Self-Insurance Certificate, or ability to pass Self-Insurance Test within one (1) year of hire. WCCP preferred. Effective self-starter, organizer, and leader requiring minimal supervision.
