Our Machine Operators set up and operate basic machinery used in selecting operation sequences, tooling, speed and feeds, and torch travel on equipment including saws, press brake, and CNC burning machines.
What You'll Do:
• Read and follow job order specifications and blueprints.
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Set up and operates automatic multiple-operation machine to perform any combination of bending, roll forming to fabricate metal sheets or plates.
• Installs and aligns roller dies, drive and forming rolls, forming dies using rulers, vernier gauges, square, shims, and hand tools.
• Sets side guides and stops. Turns knobs to regulate voltage of resistance and synchronize speed of feed rolls, forming rolls, punch, or shear rams.
• Places roll of sheet or strip metal onto feed roll, thread ends through machine or into drive rolls, or metal blanks or against guides to feed machine.
• Start machine, verify dimension of finished product visually or using micrometers, calipers, or gauges. Remove finished parts from machine.
• All duties must be performed in compliance with Astec Mobile Screens policies relating to safety and housekeeping.

What We Need from You:
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Detail oriented in processing the paperwork used in the manufacture of parts (bills of material, dispatch lists, and work orders)
• Able to interpret sketches or simple orthographic detailed drawings and be familiar with material used at the respective machine
• Possess own tools or be willing to acquire own tools over a reasonable time (6 months to 1 year)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Maintain condition of interior/exterior building and facility grounds. Carryout minor maintenance work such as plumbing, electrical, tool, mechanical and structural repairs by performing the following duties.

* Knowledge of LEAN methods used in manufacturing processes required.
* Knowledge of all types of metal-cutting processes, to include punch, plasma, and flame
cutting required.
* Knowledge of engineering/manufacturing system of symbols, legends, shading and lines
required and skill reading engineering drawings required.
* Knowledge and understanding of nesting software for material optimization preferred.
* Must be able to collaborate and facilitate cross functional teams to influence and manage
change in a heavy manufacturing, multi-shift work environment.
* Must be able to meet regular attendance requirements.

$1500.00 Sign-On Bonus and Day or Swing shift. Swing has a $2.00 shift differential.
What You'll Do:
* Cut and prepare surfaces or components
* Lay out, position, fit, tack, weld, and finish a variety of parts or products following established methods and specifications
* Handle and position heavy components using an overhead crane, clamps, jigs, and fixtures
* Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
* Other job duties as assigned
