**Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our downstream processing team in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role requires an individual who can work autonomously while executing critical purification operations and contributing to our culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Conduct analytical testing throughout production cycles, including viability assessments, optical density measurements, and environmental compliance monitoring.
+ Oversee and adjust critical process parameters including mass measurements, flow rates, liquid volumes, thermal conditions, system pressure, and acidity levels.
+ Communicate manufacturing challenges, procedural concerns, and safety observations to shift leadership; participate in root cause analysis activities to drive operational excellence.
+ Provide hands-on instruction to less experienced technicians on bioreactor systems, centrifugation equipment, column-based separations, membrane filtration systems, and sterilization/cleaning operations.
+ Ensure all training emphasizes workplace safety protocols and efficient task completion.
+ Work collaboratively across shifts and functional groups to standardize best practices and achieve departmental objectives.
+ Escalate performance issues, process deviations, and safety concerns to management to maintain regulatory compliance, current Good Manufacturing Practice standards, and operational quality.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Associate's degree with minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or chemical manufacturing operations (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
+ Working knowledge of manufacturing technologies, operational methodologies, and standard procedures.
+ Familiarity with purification and/or upstream cell cultivation processes.
+ Demonstrated capability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and process irregularities.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.

Participate in in-service training programs for all staff in the facility.
Instruct participant and family members and nursing staff in restorative and therapeutic maintenance programs.
