    Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Sr. Quality Inspector or Quality Inspector Specialist to join our diverse, energetic, and collaborative Quality Team in Kirkland, WA. The Senior / Specialist Quality Inspector will work from blueprints, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures to perform a wide range of inspection procedures and determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements at various stages of production. This role places a strong emphasis on precision inspection and verification work within the mechanical cell. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize complex measuring devices to perform inspections of purchased parts, materials, components, electronic hardware, and equipment as they are received from vendors or subcontractors, working primarily within the mechanical cell. Interpret and apply the requirements of industry workmanship standards, ES procedures, and EPS procedures in the inspection process. Identify conditions and write up non-conformances in a clear and concise manner. Inspect critical in-process and/or finished production assemblies and subassemblies for conformance to drawings and quality assurance standards, with a focus on mechanical components. Review, validate, and correct FAI paperwork from suppliers. Exhibit productive work habits, effective time management, goal setting, prioritizing tasks, and follow-up on commitments across a variety of work challenges. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the receiving inspection group. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Demonstrates proficiency (typically 2+ years of direct experience in the duties, responsibilities and skills of the role) for consideration as Senior Quality Inspector. Demonstrates competency (typically 5+ years of direct experience in the duties, responsibilities and skills of the role) for consideration as Quality Inspector Specialist. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated mechanical inspection experience. Keen attention to detail. Ability to learn standards and obtain required certifications to effectively and independently complete inspections. Adapt quickly to AES systems and tools to perform inspection tasks. Understand AES FAI requirements to review supplier FAI reports. Proficient in MS Office products, including intermediate MS Excel skills. Skilled in using and programming a comparator or vision system like MicroVu. Experience using a CMM Able to read and understand mechanical drawings that have GD&T Fixturing parts when using measurment equipment Knowledgable in the use of a height gage Familiarity with using sheet metal parts Physical Abilities: Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). May be stationary for long periods of time. May lift up to 25 pounds Work is performed in a manufacturing environment EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible. An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test including cannabis screening. COMPENSATON AND BENEFITS Sr. Quality Inspector salary range: $24.52 - $36.79 per hour. (Mid-point: $30.65) Quality Inspector Specialist salary range: $29.14 - $ 43.71 per hour. Responsibilities You will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing risk control reports to insurance industry clients. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a commercial insurance policy and may include recommendations to control and/or correct potential loss producing conditions associated with that policy. You will be expected to manage assignments you accept, successfully secure customer appointments within a local territory and complete work assignments on time. Our Risk Control Inspectors evaluate businesses behind the scenes to identify hazards and improve safety, mitigating risks for our insurance company clients. The type of businesses we survey are commercial operations, including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc. Most surveys are focused on assessing the business for Property and General Liability coverage, but we also service other commercial insurance lines of business including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine and Builders Risk. Qualifications Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus, but all interested candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications. In lieu of experience, we can refer you to a 15-hour online certification option to qualify you. Fees are negotiable depending on experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models. Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, Florida is seeking a Quality Control Inspector who will be primarily responsible for performing inspections of aircraft maintenance and alterations for quality and airworthiness. The Quality Control Inspector may also perform aircraft maintenance (including inspection), preventive maintenance and alteration and assist customers with technical and operational support relative to the customer's aircraft. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Responsible for Quality Assurance for quality and airworthiness and may report to Maintenance Supervision for the assignment of aircraft maintenance tasks. Using technical data acceptable to and/or approved by the FAA, the Quality Control Inspector provides inspection and approval for return to service with respect to work performed. Adheres to general work and safety requirements. May travel to locations other than the Repair Station's fixed location to support customer aircraft. May perform inspections, adjusts and repairs, replace components and corrects any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft. May perform repairs on components removed from the aircraft. May remove and re-install aircraft components to gain access for the performance of assigned tasks. May troubleshoot (fault isolation) aircraft system malfunction. May perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations. Documents, records, and signs for work performed and/or inspected per RSM/QCM. Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervision. May fuel and defuel aircraft. May perform aircraft line services. Performs inspection on-site and at off-site locations. Supports production aircraft under Production Certificate System. Assists other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification. Is familiar with and adheres to the RSM/QCM and applicable regulations. Is responsible for and accountable for work performed. QUALIFICATIONS Possess a Mechanics certificate with Airframe and Power plant ratings. Minimum 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and alteration of turbo fan powered business aircraft. Trained in or experience with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to perform aircraft maintenance and alterations. Minimum 5 years' experience working on our Falcon models. Thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations, the RSM/QCM and proficient in the use of the various inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools appropriate for the work being performed and approved for return to service. Able to work unsupervised for extended periods. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Can Do attitude - highly motivated, Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Compensation and Benefits: The compensation for this position typically falls between $38 and $55 per hour. This position is eligible for tech leveling to reflect varying levels of experience. This position is eligible for overtime and may be eligible for shift differential or relocation assistance. Summary: As the Quality Control Inspector Level 2, you perform in-process and final inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies, components, and systems to ensure compliance with North Atlantic Industries' quality standards and customer requirements. Qualifications and Education Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in electronics or mechanical technology preferred. * 4+ years of experience in quality inspection within the electronics, electromechanical, aerospace, or defense manufacturing industries. * Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB assembly processes, mechanical assemblies, and soldering principles. * Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and mechanical blueprints. * Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, height gauges, multimeters, and continuity testers.
