Promotes hotel services, amenities and upsells products to the guests. Processes and handles group rooming lists, reservations, and employee reservations requests by inputting data into the reservations system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Monitor the Group Segment: Ensure that all groups are entered into Passkey with 72 business hours of turnover from Sales. Review groups for proper information and enter shoulder nights whenever possible. Uses a positive and clear speaking voice, listens to and understands requests, responds with appropriate action and provide accurate information, such on outlet hours, events, etc. Completes and creates reservations for hotel guests, sending folios, quoting rates, providing alternatives to our property if unable to accommodate the guests. Completes the reservation process by inputting all guest information into a computer system, confirming pertinent information including arrival dates, number of nights and room rate. Makes appropriate selection of rate type depending on guest needs and the current sell strategy. Delivers a confirmation number for all reservations made. Receives special requests from guests, and responds appropriately or forwards requests to appropriate team members for decisions and actions, including any email inquiries. Constantly patrol assigned station, exchanging ashtrays, refilling water and coffee, removing service items and condiments per established policies and procedures. Check on the guest. Use proper in-room clearing and aisle tray breakdown procedures. Return all reusable table complements and condiments to be cleaned and refilled. Assist in setting up and/or breaking down buffet or other special food service tables, stations and equipment, as needed. Set-up, tend, and breakdown banquet bars, as assigned, according to standard policies and procedures. Follow all guest check and money-handling procedures when serving a la carte and beverage orders. Complete any assigned side-work, such as refilling condiments, sorting linen, hanging/storing drapes, cleaning/storing serving equipment, etc. Comply with Dram Shop and other applicable laws and regulations.
