Job Description
Harrison County Hospital is seeking a experienced Radiology Tech, CT/X-ray.
PRN, Day/Evening/Night as needed, 16 hrs/wk
The Radiologic Technologist III interprets physician orders, performs radiographic exam and other duties related to the production of quality medical images. The Radiologic Technologist III is able to work independently in two or more modalities in addition to general radiography i.e. CT, MRI, Ultrasound and or Mammography. The Radiologic Technologist III conducts exams in a manner conducive to the patient's comfort, safety and well being and is competent with all age groups. The Radiologic Technologist III supports and assumes a role in the Diagnostic Imaging and Harrison County Hospital customer service program, This position may require training into additional imaging modalities and the Radiologic Technologist III may be assigned other duties as deemed necessary to enhance the overall departmental functions. The Radiologic Technologist III renders quality patient care in accordance with the philosophy, mission, objectives and policies of Harrison County Hospital and provides services to all age groups. The Radiologic Technologist III takes reasonable care when caring for patients with the knowledge that mistakes may have serious consequences for the patient. The Radiologic Technologist III is willing to work any part of a 24 hour shift to enhance departmental function.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
ARRT or equivalent.
Previous CT and/or MRI experience preferred, but not required.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be ARRT registered.
Must maintain licensure by ISBH.
CPR Certified
Annual PPD
Annual fire/safety training
Corporate Compliance
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Reading and writing for communication and for understanding
Verbal language sufficient for patient and co-worker communication
Medical Terminology
GENERAL SKILLS:
Radiographic Procedures
Skills in one additional modality (CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography)
Darkroom operation
Film file maintenance
