This position requires the physical capability to perform welding work, moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires knowledge of steel and sheet metal fabrication and welding, specifically welding procedures and the operation of welding equipment. Also requires the ability to read the welding requirements of fabrication drawings and travelers. Must be able to proficiently read and interpret welding requirements on fabrication drawings and specifications and be able to effectively perform to those requirements. This position requires the physical capability to perform the welding processes used at VL. The welder must be able to lift moderate to heavy lifts. Position requires general knowledge of sheet metal and structural fabrication, and specifically the detailed operation of welders and hand tools required for welding.
