James R. Belardi is Co-Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer (‘CEO’) and Chief Investment Officer (‘CIO’) of Athene Holding Ltd. (‘AHL’). In addition, Mr. Belardi is the Founder, Chairman, CEO and CIO of Athene Asset Management LLC ('AAM'), AHL’s investment manager. He founded both AHL and AAM in May 2009 and is a member of AHL’s and AAM’s executive committees. Mr. Belardi is responsible for AHL’s overall strategic direction and management and the day-to-day management of AAM’s investment portfolio. Prior to AHL and AAM, Mr. Belardi was President of SunAmerica Life Insurance Company and was also Executive Vice President and CIO of AIG Retirement Services, Inc., where he had responsibility for an invested-asset portfolio of $250 billion.

Michael recently co-founded Athena Financial - an exciting venture aimed at innovating the end-to-end value chain for Australia's largest lending category : mortgages.Before resigning to found Athena, Michael spent 8 years at NAB. Most recently Michael held the position General Manager Deposits and Payments where he was accountable for design, pricing, delivery for NABs deposits, transaction accounts and payments offerings for the full spectrum of customer segments. During his stint in Product, Michael acted as Executive General Manager, Deposits and Transaction Services, for a twelve month period in which he was also accountable for acquiring platforms, equity trading, margin lending and specialised sales support. He was a board member of New Payments Platform Australia, the Australian Payments Council and ASX listed Homelands Ltd. Michael joined NAB in late 2009 and led the Personal Banking strategy team from 2011 to 2012. From there he moved into Digital and Direct as General Manager of Channel Development where he helped drive advances in NAB's mobile app and contact centre operating model. Prior to joining NAB, Michael worked for 13 years at CVA, a boutique strategy consulting firm. He was elected partner with a focus on consumer and SME banking. Working across multiple geographies, he advised clients on topics such as product design and pricing, distribution network design and portfolio strategy.In 1999 Michael co-founded iSelect, a successful online insurance comparison site now listed on the ASX.Michael holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Monash University and an MBA from Harvard. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Randall W. Epright has 28 years insurance and financial services operations and technology experience. Prior to joining Athene, Mr. Epright was the Global Business Information Officer of Consumer Businesses at American International Group, Inc. ("AIG"). After eight years of delivering innovative technology solutions for Travelers Insurance, Mr. Epright joined AIG in 1995 where he held numerous operations and technology leadership positions, including Divisional Vice President of Foreign General Insurance, where he led global strategic development for personal lines, commercial lines, accident and health, and claims. As Vice President, AIG Data Center, Mr. Epright led the global architecture and deployment strategy for AIG’s strategic contact centers. In roles spanning Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AIG Retirement Services, Chief Operating Officer AIG Advisor Group, and Chief Information Officer of AIG Life and Retirement, Mr. Epright drove operations and technology modernization, innovative product delivery, and digitalization of distribution for life, individual annuities, group retirement, mutual funds, and brokerage/investment advisory businesses.

Mr. Epright has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Providence College in Rhode Island and an Master of Business Administration in Information Systems from Denver University in Colorado. He holds a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 designation and previously served as a board member and audit committee Chairman of AIG Global Services enterprise group.

Douglas Niemann is an Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Athene and is based in Région de New York City, États-Unis. He has worked as Managing Director at AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP INC, Assistant Vice President at Norwest Banks, and Senior Managing Director at Guardian Life. Douglas studied at Northwestern University between 1988 and 1992, IMD business school between 2008 and 2008, and University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1998 and 2000.

Martin P. Klein has served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since November 2015. Mr. Klein also serves as a director of several of our insurance subsidiaries. Mr. Klein is responsible for overseeing our financial management, including our enterprise finance, tax, actuarial and internal audit functions. He also helps to develop and execute strategic operating decisions across our company. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Klein was employed by Genworth Financial, Inc. (“Genworth”) from May 2011 through October 2015, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and, from May through December 2012, also served as Genworth’s Acting President & Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Genworth in 2011, Mr. Klein served as a Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager of Barclays, after its acquisition of the U.S. operations of Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. (“Lehman Brothers”). Mr. Klein joined Lehman Brothers in 1998, where he served as a Managing Director and the head of the Insurance Solutions Group and the Pension Solutions Group. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr. Klein had been with Zurich Insurance Group from 1994 to 1998 and was a Managing Director of Zurich Investment Management. Prior to Zurich, Mr. Klein served in finance and actuarial roles in other insurance organizations.

Mr. Klein currently serves on the boards of Aris Mortgage Holding Company, LLC and Athora Holding Ltd., as well as Caritas, a non-profit organization in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Klein is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and business administration from Hope College and a Master of Science in statistical and actuarial sciences from University of Iowa.
