Job Summary:The Industrial Athletic Trainer will plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of a worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. Unique skills of an Industrial Athletic Trainer include a focus on injury prevention and evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments and corrective action planning, OSHA emergency/first aid treatment, health education, and worksite health promotion and marketing activities.
Position Responsibilities:
* Perform comprehensive wellness assessments and ergonomic risk analyses
* Develop and implement site-specific wellness initiatives and programs
* Use innovative, creative solutions and employee empowerment to design and implement ergonomic interventions
* Provide first-aid treatment and management for musculoskeletal complaints including the use of ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and non-rigid bracing
* Provide orthopedic injury assessments. As per the state practice act, this position does not provide rehabilitation services, but will participate in education and injury prevention
* Coordinate and implement treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary
* Perform data analysis and execute administrative tasks including, but not limited to, collection of data, completion of forms, documenting patient files, and generating reports for return on investment and budgets
* Create an environment of trust and care, allowing workers to take responsibility to reduce or eliminate actions under their control that contribute to injury and illness
* Communicate regularly with safety personnel regarding rehab and injury prevention activities and be a patient advocate for non-occupational injuries
* Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested by client

Responsibilities
Perform content restoration work residential and commercial properties
Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, packing customers' contents, general on-location cleaning, HVAC cleaning and deodorization of facilities
Assists with the inventory of site contents, setup of emergency services equipment, preparing contents for storage and lifting items into storage
Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies and site specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
Operate routinely used tools and equipment
Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance
Perform work at high elevations such as from a ladder and scaffolding
Hazardous Waste Operations

Technical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration and percent.
Communication Skills -- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Work Environment: Working around equipment and machinery, the work environment is usually dirty, dusty and noisy, on uneven ground/surfaces containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Work includes handling hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment. Frequent travel is required for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Physical Demands: Must be in good physical health and be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination and drug screening. Able to wear full and half face respirator, work in confined spaces and regularly lift and carry 75 pounds.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of Construction experience, working on water/fire damage jobs specifically, environmental experience and hazardous waste.
Certifications Needed: The individual must have on file a valid and current environmental physical enabling the individual to wear a respirator. Also, OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER, current State Driver's license and forklift operator certification.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Construction industry experience preferred. IICRC Water Restoration certification is a plus. Heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience a plus. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions. Good communication skills and commitment to company safety policy are a must. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged, but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide professional, friendly and compassionate service to all patients and physical therapy staff in all interactions including issue resolution, scheduling, new patient onboarding, insurance verification, and billing.
Manage clinic scheduling ensuring to match patient with the best clinician for their needs / injury as well as optimum patient flow.
Provide new patient onboarding including facility tour, data gathering, and physical therapy staff introductions.
Obtain verification of patient medical insurance information and manage patient insurance requirements and inform patients of insurance benefits and options for payments on account.
On behalf of physical therapists, coordinates the communication of patient progress to physicians, nurse case managers, adjusters and attorneys.
Assist with management of patient expectations based on clinical findings including frequency and duration of treatment, progression toward functional goals, and discharge planning. Serve as a contact for physical therapy post-care needs.
Organizes cultural moments (e.g., patient's physical therapy goal celebrations) in concert with the clinical team to make sure all patients are recognized and appreciated.
Execute and reinforce administrative and patient experience Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices within the clinic.
Provide general office, receptionist, and clerical support to assigned location.
Qualifications:
Education:

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of a worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees.
