Responsible for being constantly vigilant to detect unexpected road conditions, distracted drivers, and motorists who don't understand how commercial vehicles operate; and commercial drivers must operate in a safe manner in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations

Responsible for maintaining a valid and current CDL and Medical Card
Reports to work on time, as directed by the Transportation Management, and completes all duties assigned in a timely manner.
Responsible for wearing proper uniforms while on company time or business, etc.; including any PPE such as steel-toe safety shoes.
Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle (truck, tractor, etc.) and equipment prior to departure and upon return from route; any defects are to be reported and brought to the attention of management immediately
Complies with all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) rules and regulations including, but not limited to, running a driver log on the PeopleNet ELD (Electronic Logging Device) that is in each truck and/or tractor
Utilizes the company's P.O.D. (Proof of Delivery) scanner to accurately deliver all product and/or equipment to any customer or company affiliate; unloads product of various sizes and weights from a straight truck or tractor trailer to customers using a 2-wheel dolly and trailer ramp or any other company issued safety equipment
Responsible for accurate accounting of delivery paperwork to include all required documentation, accurate collection of cash and properly securing such cash and checks or other forms of payment approved by Accounts Receivable; this process is executed in accordance with current Departmental and/or Company Policy
Drivers are regularly coached on unsafe driving habits using our Drive-Cam camera system; drivers MUST ensure the safe operation of equipment used and make sure that it is maintained and kept clean during use
Required to take out overnight routes when necessary at Transportation Management's discretion
Enhances and upholds our company's reputation by ensuring courteous customer service
Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively to the immediate supervisor
Performs any other duties assigned by Transportation Management

Job Title: Driver
Compensation: $35.87/hour
Incumbent is responsible for transporting and delivering freight to franchise stores and/or production kitchens safely, legally and on-time. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., dry, cooler and freezer areas of the trailer, along with changing outdoor weather conditions.)
Responsibilities
Operates a tractor trailer truck that transports product to and from specified destinations.
Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
Ensures delivery-related paperwork is in order before departing the Distribution Center or transportation hub.
Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
Unloads cargo and delivers via a two-wheeler hand truck and/or pallet jack in a safe manner into store locations.
Scans all product labels during store deliveries, and reports all orders with shorts or damages.
Maintains proper logs of travel and product according to Federal, State and DOT regulations.
Maintains contact with NDCP's Member Services team to communicate any problems or delays with deliveries.
Ensures the cleanliness and presentation of the interior of the truck cab, as well as the removal of delivery-related trash at the store and production kitchen (i.e., shrink wrap, cardboard, crates and pallets).
Conduct a proper post-trip inspection to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize delays the following day. Reports any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to the distribution center.
Serves as the face of NDCP and the main point of contact between the distribution center and the customer.
Trains and leverages a Delivery Assistant, as applicable, to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of product to customer, as well as to assist in the safe maneuvering of the truck entering, exiting and parking at delivery locations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. 6-month driving experience minimum, 1 year desired
Possess a current DOT Medical Certification Card and successfully pass DOT pre-employment requirements
Ability to repetitively lift, tug pull 50lbs+ and operate a hand truck and/or hand pallet jack to delivery product to stores over multiple stops per shift
Dependable attendance and a great customer service attitude
IF APPLICABLE - Ability to operate a 10-speed manual transmission
Ability to operate a lift gate and refrigeration unit
