POSITION DESCRIPTION AIS is looking for in person instructors to join our Afterschool Heritage Language program at the Buckhead Campus location. Instructional languages include: Greek, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili or Turkish. The teacher will lead a class in that is composed of beginners and mixed ages (5 to 10 years old). The class group is small (3 to 8 students). Students have a cultural connection to the language but may not have language competency at the start of the course. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Provide opportunities for use of oral language skills. Develop cultural connections (literary, musical, customary, etc.). Engage students' families in the program to establish a bridge between school and home identity. Use and develop student reading and writing skills in context. Engage students through STEAM-based (science, art, etc.) problem-solving activities once students have reached a level when they have developed basic communication skills. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Native speaker of Greek, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili or Turkish (please specify which language in your application). Experience working with elementary school aged children. Background in teaching or language acquisition desirable. Passionate about connecting language with culture. Must be flexible, engaging, open-minded and comfortable leading an active group of students in an inquiry-based environment. The school will provide curriculum guidelines with the expectation that tutors will contribute to the development of the curriculum specific to language components.     As a production manager, you will lead the production of all television, theater, stage, film, and live events in collaboration with the technical director and production coordinator in adherence to appropriately detailed project management plans. You will create detailed production schedules by consulting with the dean, associate dean, creative director, technical director, and production coordinator. You will ensure fiscal control and adherence to SCAD policies by closely supervising productions. You will then maintain the schedules that meet all technical requirements safely, effectively, and efficiently. In this role, you will schedule, organize, and lead meetings regarding production; advertise these productions; and identify and invite necessary stakeholders to attend. Through collaboration with the creative team and director, you will troubleshoot problems that arise during projects. Responsibilities will include reviewing production plans to be developed and approved on schedule, vetting the budget, labor, feasibility, and safety designs, and translating designer drawings into CAD working drawings for construction. You will collaborate with the technical director and shop manager to ensure all projects comply with OSHA and SCAD safety policies and procedures.
