Alex Taylor is president and chief executive officer of Cox Enterprises, a leading communications, media and automotive services company with $21 billion in annual revenues and more than 55,000 employees worldwide. He is responsible for the company and its three major subsidiaries: Cox Communications, Cox Automotive and Cox Media Group, as well as the Cox Family Office and corporate functions including financial operations, human resources and administration. During his 19-year career at Cox, Taylor has held numerous positions within the company. Taylor previously served as chief operating officer of Cox Enterprises, where he had oversight of the company’s three subsidiaries, as well as its long-term growth and investment plans. He also served as senior vice president of field operations for Cox Communications, the company’s broadband and cable division. As executive vice president of Cox Media Group, he oversaw its largest television, radio, newspaper and digital properties, and led the creation of the company’s first cross-platform newsroom. Taylor began his career as a reporter for the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel in Colorado. Taylor is a board member of Food Well Alliance and PATH Foundation, and former board chair of American Rivers. He received his bachelor's degree in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University, where he now serves on the board of trust. An avid outdoorsman and conservationist, he is the author of “The Longest Cast: The Fly-Fishing Journey of a Lifetime.” He donated the royalties from the book to the International Game Fishing Association for the preservation of endangered fishing sanctuaries.

Daisy Veerasingham was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in February of 2021. Veerasingham had been chief revenue officer since 2019, and continues to lead the company’s revenue division and serve on the AP Management Committee. Veerasingham joined AP in 2004 as sales director for AP Television News in London and was promoted to senior vice president for international revenue in 2010. In that role, she led all international content licensing, AP Global Media Services and AP’s video business, including the news agency’s multichannel live video service. Prior to joining AP, she was group sales and marketing director at LexisNexis and also held sales and marketing roles at the Financial Times. Based in London, Veerasingham will relocate to AP’s headquarters in New York.

He was the president and chief operating officer of Allbritton Communications Company and founding chief executive officer and president of Politico. He was the chief of staff for former President Ronald Reagan from 1989 to 1995, and is chairman of the board of trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
