Perform mapping of aerial, underground and apartments in accordance with safety regulations, Mediacom policies and procedures, good workmanship; utility, federal, state and local codes.

Position Responsibilities:
* Perform strand mapping for new build areas.
* Perform walk out of apartment complexes and MDU's.
* Knowledgeable in general CATV construction practices and able to direct contractors and or in house on work to be performed.
* Able to read system prints and understand the operation of CATV.
* Perform field engineering of road projects and force relocates.
* Participate in meetings with developers and state projects.
* Produce reports as required on the operation of the plant facility.
* Function in various weather conditions within safety constraints.
* Provide input to supervisor on projects.
* Perform quality control inspections, and construction on a regular basis to assure quality and recommend additional training as needed.
* Knowledge in all Microsoft Office programs.
* Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Perform all other duties assigned.
* Some overnight travel may be required.
* Perform installations and changes of service, while adhering to: applicable codes, requirements, guidelines, company procedures and safe work practices in order to provide an outstanding customer experience.
Position Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
* Valid driver's license; satisfactory driving record required.
* Required - Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Broadband Specialist IV system technician or 4+ years' equivalent cable technician experience.
* Required - SCTE - Understanding Cable Technology
* Required - SCTE - Coax Splicer Specialist
* Knowledge of HFC plant, installs and service calls.
* Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.
* Ability to work in all weather conditions.
* Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
* Knowledge of all construction tools and equipment including; bucket trucks, lasher, blocks, pulling grips, stand/cable trailers, cable layers, hoists, bolt cutters, lay-up sticks and hand lines.

The Role
* Manage daily construction activities across multiple projects
* Supervise construction crews and subcontractors to ensure quality, compliance, and schedule adherence

* Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground construction
* Practical knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and fiber networks
* Experience in estimating, bidding projects and change-order preparation
* Able to travel throughout regional market to various projects as needed (+/-90% annually)
* Problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
