The Driver transports patients from home to the Partial Out-Patient Programs. The Driver operates the van according to all established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. This position dispatches and develops routes as needed.
The Driver assists in developing quality assurance studies based on customer service as well as departmental policy and procedures.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Commercial Driver's License required. No points violations required. HSFAC required within 90 days from date of hire or transfer.
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience driving a van preferred.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.

Key Responsibilities
Safely drive and operate company vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations.
Load and unload cargo when needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
Ensure deliveries are made accurately, professionally, and on schedule.
Navigate commercial routes efficiently throughout NYC, NJ, and the tri-state area.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and inventory records.
Report mileage, fuel usage, tolls, and delivery-related expenses.
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Keep vehicle and equipment clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients.
Licensing & Requirements
Valid CDL A driver's license.
Must be bilingual, English and Spanish
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Valid DOT Medical Card and insurability required.
Minimum 3+ years of professional driving experience.
Physically able to sit for extended periods and assist with loading/unloading.
Knowledge of commercial driving standards and routing in NY/ NYC & NJ preferred.
