The Instructional Design Specialist plays a key role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of instructional content for the Flight Operations department related to pilot training. This position will collaborate with Training Managers, Instructors, Evaluators, and Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver optimal training experience for all learners covered by Flight Operations, with an emphasis on training center students and attendees. This position will also ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements pertaining to pilot training. Responsibilities * Content creation responsibilities include but are not limited to the design and development of instructor guides, syllabi, and learning objectives documents. Create and maintain instructional materials such as facilitator/participant guides, job aids, and other learning resources. * Design and development of engaging training materials for a variety of delivery methods, such as instructor-led, computer-based training modules and storyboards. * Reviews and interprets Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Company policies, Collective Bargaining Agreement(s) (CBA) and applies guidance and insight on the instructional design as it pertains to AQP. * This role will analyze multiple sources of data to determine training program effectiveness and efficiency and summarize results in formal reports. Establish and maintain formal and informal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track effectiveness of training programs and initiatives via qualitative and quantitative data. * Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining formal documentation of government and corporate programs, an electronic Program Audit Data Base (PADB), and a training recording/certification system. * Serve as a SME on adult learning theory, instructional methods, and compliance requirements to produce analysis reports, design documents, curriculum outlines, instructor courseware and regulatory documentation. * Exercise expert understanding of complex technical training programs to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all leadership levels to ensure that pilot training programs are effective, efficient, compliant, and aligned with corporate safety and operational objectives, FARs and the CBA. This role will regularly contribute to the development of new training concepts, techniques, and standards by using ISD methodologies. * Operating in a highly regulated environment, this role routinely supports internal and external audits, understanding Pilot Audit Data Base (PADB), and a training recording/certification system to identify skills gaps and training needs. * Develop and convert draft/content from SMEs into effective learning objects; responsibilities include elements of all phases of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model. * Ensure timely transmission of data or content as described in the implementation plan. Practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. * Maintains working knowledge of CRM/TEM including FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, ICAO, and other international standards. * Performs all duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) or other senior Training Staff members. Qualifications State the following for entry into this job: * Four (4) year degree in Education, Instructional Design, Aviation or equivalent work experience is required. * Minimum of two (2) years of training-related work experience is a plus. * Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate360, and Microsoft Office360 is required. * Practical experience using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies * Practical experience working with technical training subjects and compliance training is a plus * Certifications from various Instructional Design organizations or associations are preferred: * Association of Talent Development (ATD) Certified Professional in Learning Development (CPLP)/Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) * International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI) Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) * Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) * American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) certification * AQP design and development experience is a plus. * Working knowledge of the FARs and Advisory Circulars is a plus. The Director of Gateway Cargo Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of gateway operations to ensure compliance with security, safety, regulatory, and performance standards while delivering high-quality service to customers. This role ensures operational efficiency, vendor and equipment management, and alignment with corporate goals through effective leadership, budgeting, and collaboration with internal teams and external agencies. Responsibilities * Responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving the overall gateway operation to support all business units of the company. * Responsible for achieving all ground operations and corporate goals as related to performance, safety, service, and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for achieving all Ground Operation goals as they relate to performance, safety, service and regulatory compliance. Serves the company by management and administration of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System Program (CASS) in compliance with the Company policy, procedures and FAA regulations. This position is responsible for assisting in the regular review and analysis of aircraft technical data inbsupport of the Companies Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Program, ETOPS, and Reliability Program. Provide data collection and analysis for various fleet technical issues. Responsibilities Collect and organize data from various sources for use in the Reliability and CASS program. Analyze statistical data and develop monthly reports as well as maintain meeting minutes as required for the Reliability and CASS program. Provide review and recommendation toward continuous develop of the Quality Assurance and Reliability Programs to assure performance and effectiveness are properly monitored and measured against procedures, technical standards, CFRs or other approved data. Work in close harmony with the Director, Quality Control & CASS & CASS program Manager in assuring their respective programs support the success of CASS. The Operations Communications Specialist will lead and support communications and content creation strategies that directly impact Atlas Air's operational success. This role will focus on delivering clear, timely, and effective written, visual, and digital content across all operational divisions-including Flight, Ground, System, and Technical Operations, as well as Safety. Responsibilities Supervise and directs Ground Operations Logistics Leads and coordinators in their daily responsibilities. Oversee ordering and distribution of uniforms, linens/blankets, PPE, and related supplies across the network, ensuring stock levels are maintained. Manage inventory control, including weekly physical inventories, reconciliations, and variance resolution. Review and approve inventory transactions, withdrawals, and transfers. Inspect MIA Gateway warehouse and cooler facilities for damages or deficiencies, coordinate vendors for repairs and maintenance. Supervise and coordinate MIA Gateway warehouse and cooler projects to ensure timely completion and compliance with company standards. Coordinate vendor badging requirements to ensure authorized access to warehouse and cooler facilities. Review logistics data and reports, providing summaries to the Manager. Manage AMC CAC & Base Access Badge requests, renewals, and database maintenance in Veoci as directed. Oversee the use of Veoci for tracking logistics activities and ensure system compliance by staff. Manage supply shipments for worldwide operations including ULD build-up material, shoring, and plastics. Review invoices, accruals, and departmental credit card expenses for accuracy before submission to the Manager. Respond to irregular operations or urgent logistics issues in the 24/7 warehouse as needed. Participate in meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve potential issues. Support special projects, audits, and inter-departmental initiatives as assigned by Ground Operations Logistics Management. Travel domestically and internationally in support of Ground Operations activities. Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs and assist in reviewing and updating procedures. Review invoices for accuracy and relay discrepancies to the Manager. Qualifications BS/BA preferred or equivalent work experience. 6 years' experience in aviation, logistics, or warehouse operations. Knowledge of ground and cargo operations processes preferred. Familiarity with logistical coordination, inventory management, and supply chain practices. Familiarity with Veoci and Ariba systems preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized inventory systems. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Valid passport and ability to travel internationally and domestically.
