As our new Personal Lines Customer Service Representative, you will work 37.5 hours a week. You will be responsible for maintaining solid customer relationships by handling personal lines insurance coverage inquiries and concerns with speed and professionalism.

Responsibilities
Answer customer calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies, service claims and address client concerns.
Work with prospects to pre-qualify and understand their needs, gather necessary data, develop insurance quotes, present options, finalize and bind new coverage, cancel old policies, and negotiate with carriers when necessary.
Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
Responds to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within a specified timeframe.
Interact daily with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow employees while conducting specific service and marketing activities.
Requirements
Licensed Property & Casualty with 1-3 years experience.
Have a Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Familiarity with Erie Insurance is a plus.
Bilingual - English/Spanish is a plus.
Must be a Resident of North Carolina
Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
Excellent Communication skills - strong customer focus, ability, and tact to handle difficult customer phone calls and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.

Requirements
Responsible for the identification and successful acquisition of new business revenue from qualified prospects and existing clients primarily by telephone calls, writing letters/emails, or making personal visits and lead generation techniques for identified target groups in accordance with agency guidelines.
Conduct client and prospect appointments to assess business and insurance needs, communicate proposals and renewals, provide coverage and pricing options, explain details and desire to conduct business.
Submit, rate, quote, and place quality new business in accordance with agency and company appetites/guidelines.
Assembly and submission of accurate and complete insurance applications and underwriting information including classification and survey data and loss history to agency and company personnel.
In collaboration with the company's insurance marketing team and service team, negotiate coverage and pricing terms to provide the optimal insurance program for the client.
Develop and convey formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information.
Support the Commercial Lines and other sales efforts through a mutual referral network to cross sell qualifying business.
Develop and promote strong relationships with prospects and clients.
Achieve pre-determined sales goals.
Communicate effectively with customers, agency and company personnel.
Adhere to agency standards for workflows, procedures and utilization of the agency management system (AMS360 and other sales CRM software) to maintain client documentation and reduce agency exposure to Errors and Omissions.
Complete and maintain required pipeline, activity and sales related reports and attend all sales and personal lines meetings as required.
Keep informed of industry developments through community involvement and continuing education.
Comply with all state insurance regulatory requirements regarding licensing and continuing education requirements.
Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management.
