We are seeking an MRI Technologist to operate a 3T Siemens Prisma MRI system and perform high-quality research scans, including fMRI. This role involves acquiring accurate diagnostic images in alignment with research protocols, maintaining a safe MRI environment through thorough safety screening, and documenting all procedures with precision. The ideal candidate can work both independently and collaboratively with technologists, research assistants, and investigators, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is comfortable or experienced in imaging pediatric participants.
The Institute for Human Neuroscience at Boys Town, NE is seeking out a full time MRI Technologists. We are situated in a building just north of the west hospital campus near 137th and Dodge.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
* Performs complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of the MRI scanner in accordance with prescribed MRI safety procedures, including all patient screening procedures.
* Assures that for all scans correct patient, imaging site, patient positioning, correct protocols and scan parameters are verified.
* Positions and instructs patients for MRI scans using immobilization, support, and protective devices.
* Administers contrast media, if indicated; screens and educates patients regarding contrast media, possible reactions, and post procedure contrast instructions; implements emergency procedures in response to contrast media reactions.
* Able to successfully send images to PACS and demonstrate basic knowledge of PACS software.

Radiologic Technologists will perform departmental procedures, and assigned activities by the Manager of Imaging Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Full or part-time employment as designated and on call as necessary with the rotation schedule of fellow staff members.
Knowledge of departmental equipment and procedures pertaining to Radiology and Cardiology.
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and requirements for Radiologic Technologists.
Knowledge of all required responsibilities from an accredited Radiologic technology educational program pertaining to physics, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation protection, radiation safety, body positioning, knowledge of technical exposure factors, and compliance with The American Society of Radiologic Technologist Code of Ethics.
Adhere to staff scheduling determined by Imaging Services Manager.
Participate in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.
Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times and report violations to the Privacy Officer.
Understand and comply with the requirements of the Saunders Medical Center's Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, all Saunders Medical Center-wide policies for compliance, and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Saunders Medical Center policy and as requested by the Supervisor.
